A picture from the on-going event, the EICMA Show. In the middle, it's Michael Rasmussen. Can you guess who's on the right? Cassani, yes, the guy who said that he had seen Rasmussen in Italy which ended up with Rasmussen being thrown out of Le Tour

The rapport Vogelzang is out there, and De Rooy has made tons of errors, but now also Breukink is involved. He knew were Rasmussen was because he talked to him in June several times... this could mean a premature ending to Breukink's management... |

Which confirms what Rasmussen said last week: That Rabobank knew everything about him being in Italy. |

No sorry Crue, that isn't true either, Rasmussen lied about that. Well I hope they come with an English translation of the rapport because I'm not gonna translate everything that's in there |

How could Rasmussen lie about that if Breukink confirms he had a meeting with Rasmussen in Italy? It's also said that there are e-mails between De Rooj and Rasmussen where they discuss the case. |

No, at 6 june Breukink knew Rasmussen was in Bergamo, after that, he didn't talk to Rasmussen anymore and he assumed Rasmussen flew to Mexico.
The same with De Rooij...after 6th june they all asumed Rasmussen would go to Mexico.
Also, Rasmussen actually told De Rooij of his plans to stay in Italy and tell the UCI he was in Mexico. But De Rooij told him he wouldn't help him and he said it's your own responsibility, you must fill in the correct place. |

The last thing was my point -- that he told De Rooij of his plans. Rabobank might not have helped him, but they did know he was there.
Anyway, I haven't read the report, but from what I have heard it critize everyone except for the bank |

No, they told him he had to be honoust with the uci and assumed he would do that. They put way too much responsibility into Rasmussens hand and didn't look after him.
Anyway, Breukink's job is under enormous pressure now. Good chance he and also team doctor Leinders have got to go. |

To me, it seems like Rabobank was unbeliveably naive.
Breukink has said that he won't leave the job by himself.
It's a shame. I still believe it would be the best if all those involved in the 90s doping world should leave the sport. |

Well then a lot of people would have to go... starting with Riis and Bruyneel |

Yes, exactly. That's what the sport needs. |

that's a very big part of the problem. you can't just change everyone. I wish you could, but you can't.
you'd have to change 95% of people involved with both the teams and the organisations (UCI, ASO, etc.).
it's simply not possible to get them to go.

But it would be possible to remove them from important positions. |

no it's not.
you have to have grounds to get rid of them. and legally there are none.

Remmert Wielinga stops.
His chronic knee injury and fear of riding in the peloton has stopped him from getting results, he said in Eindhovens Dagblad. |

Di Luca will not appeal the 3-month-ban
And what's more interesting: Alberto Contador has been called in by CONI for a hearing. They will question his involvement in the Operation Puerto. Valverde and other Spanish riders have also been called in.
If CONI makes a case out of it, it means the riders won't be allowed to ride in Italy. |
