DOMINO'S WEEKLY #10
The weekly news of Domino's-ASR Cycling Team, released every Sunday
NEWS
AS EXPECTED
Danny Pate gave Domino's-ASR their first win last weekend. He managed to win the Santander Criterium. However, the race wasn't an official race, so we don't have any ranking points. Also, we are now participating in the Tour Down Under. We haven't managed to ride a top 10 there yet (Davis finished 13th once), but Mitchell Docker and Simon Clarke managed to get into breakaways.

WRONG PREDICTION
Last week, TAP-Michelin boss Bikex released a list which contained all teams ranked from weakest to best. However, we didn't agree with our 11th (single-last) position, because we have Danny Pate. So after a talk between me and Bikex, he decided that we were first!

1th (3 points): Danny Pate, for his win in the Santander Criterium
Rankings:
Rank | Name | Points | 1 | Danny Pate | 3 | 2 | Mitchell Docker | 2 | 3 | Allan Davis | 1 |

Danny Pate's victory
THE DANNY PATE GAME
Last week we asked this question:
Danny Pate's first cycling team (as stagiare) was Saeco. He however didn't get a professional contract (he's still sick of that today). His first professional contract came years later, with Health Net Presented by Maxxis. Nowadays, that team is called UnitedHealthCare. One of our riders rode for that team in 2012. Which rider?
The only correct answer is Jeff Louder. All 3 participants named that answer. so this is the current ranking:
Rank | Name | Points | 1 | Jesleyh | 1 | 2 | Bikex | 1 | 3 | Atlantius | 1 | NOTE: sorted on time the answer was received |
So, the next question, everyone can still join in:
Danny Pate became Under-23 World Time Trial Championships in 2001. 2 of our riders participated in that years Elite Road Race. Only 1 person arrived that day. Which rider?
INTERVIEW
This week, an interview with Danny Pate.
Hello, Danny. Congratulations on your win?
Thank you very much.
Was it expected?
Yes, because I win everything. I'm God. I just gave the other riders in that race a impression that they could win, but I knew before the race was announced that I was going to win.
Rumours circulate that you will ride the Tour de France? Is this true?
Of course. If I wouldn't ride I can't win Le Tour. But now, I already won the 20 upcoming Tour de France, so everyone will be batteling for second place. Because I now already finished, if you understand what I mean.
No, but congratulations and good luck this season
Thank you very much. And may God (me) bless you.

Isn't the rider of the week thing unfair to the other riders because Pate will always be the rider of the week no matter what he will be doing? |

Nice interview with Pate
Team isn't really impressive in TDU, maybe that could change in the next stages...

I hope Rogers can do something on Willunga Hill, or Davis gets a great sprint in a stage in which Goss, Greipel etc. fall
