Thanks, rjc. I do remember that being mentioned earlier now when you said it. Got some re-calculating to do in my shortlist then.

Quick one guys Loic Desirac raced 44 times last year in D2 which give him the 88XP shown in the table but then he raced the Nedbank Cycle Classic and should have gained 4XP(i had asked SN if he would gain xp and that had been confirmed i haven't checked any other D2 riders so maybe they all need XP to be given).

I thought D2 does not give XPs at all, seems like we are all confused. I thought only CT wildcars races and Avenir were chances to increase D2 riders experience.
Also i would like to ask about which calculating lot of people speak about? Arent those stats in the 2013 those that will be actual during transfers (i hope i did not mis something with that pressing some buttons to recalculate, but i have averages changed). Or maybe people speak only about updating with their possible training they think of? Training is done when exactly and who can do that? It would be nice if somebody can describe it to me,please.

Also, if someone could please give me a thirty second run-down on the number of race days each riders gets. I understand it has something to do with the average, but have not been able to find any info. Even pointing me to another thread would be great!
Also (more DB related) how are max stats calculated? It obviously has something to do with the potential...
Thanks! (I really should know this, but better to find out now then later I guess!)

There is a stat gains file somewhere. Although it might be a bit similar in 2013 most likely.
The race days are different in CT and PT. Last year it was in CT weak riders ~ 75 and the best riders ~ 35 I think. But also this must not necessarily be the same in 2013. But should be similar at least. |

@Avin:
=> D2 races/XP: In Cdiv2 level 1 riders will gain 2 EXP per race day in Division 2 races and level 2 riders will gain 1 EXP per race day in division 2 races. Wildcard races will give experience.
=> "Also i would like to ask about which calculating lot of people speak about?": It's either people speaking about stat-gains from 2012 to 2013, which already happened (they double-check if the stat-gains went correctly), or also people considering training for the upcoming season.
=> Training is done when exactly and who can do that?: Training will be done right after the transfer-season. Everyone can do it, but you do need some money left of your budget The costs depend on the stats you want to train, which is described in the 2012 stat-gain files (this may change a bit in 2013, but basically it should be similar):

It might change, but 80+ riders will get around 35 race days.
Koren had 45
Eastman had 42
Sanchez had 50
Haedo had 58
Jeannesson 73
Cozza 85

Thanks Tsmoha for clarification, now my riders xp changes makes sense.
One more stupid question regarding the transfers. Salary cap of PCT team was said to be 2.5mil and some extra money (how the value can be high and how it will be calculated?) on transfers, training. I suppose those 2.5 millions are strictly the wage cap and the part of it cant be used to improve my transfer budget (on cost of lowering the wage cap)? Stupid question probably, but i better ask before i do something bad and it is good to know for planning the transfer season a bit.

You have lets say 3mio +-x depending on the goals etc.
2.5mio are maximum you can spend on salary. Rest for training, fees or wildcards.
But you can also use only 2 mio for salary to have more money for training etc.
Just an exampl. Values can be different of course. And I hope this is correct as I am sitting in my university lesson. |

Does your remaining 2012 budget get added to your 2013 budget?

If this is correct, it is exactly the kind of an answer i was looking for (the possibility to go for the lower wages but having more transfer funds, however it can be big risk maybe). Thanks

A part of it does, but not all (based on former comments by SN)

I have a small question regarding prologues. I can see that some riders now have a higher/lower Prologue stat than TT stat. That is new I think - And good.
But what is considered to be a prologue? Is it just the first TT of a race, or does it have something to do with the length of the TT aswell?
Also, will a rider trained in TT be raised equally in TT as in Prologue stat, or will there be a specific prologue training that will improve eg. prologue, flat and acceleration?
The main reason I came to think of this was because of Markel Irizar. He's not a rider I want, as 78 prologue is probably not enough to make any sort of result anyway, as all TT'ers are also equally good in prologues so far.
BUT then I came to look into the database, and without being to much of a pain in the ass I will mention just one rider, which can be a very decent prologue rider, but a shitty TT'er. Gabriel Chavanne. If he is trained with the current training schedules he will become 82 Prologue, and 71 TT. That is cool, because it's realistic.
Will the sprint training in the future include an added increase of prologue stat? I can see a few of the new sprinters have a decent prologue stat, which could be interesting in regards of getting the leaders jersey early on.

Prologue = A TT shorter than 8km.
In PCM it's important up to ~ 15km TTs though.
And yes, there will be a sprint + prologue training.

Good that there will be now more training ways like sprint/prologue rider
Could you tell the other new training ways?
Hopefully something like hill/tt combination or hill/sprint or maybe even a mountain specialized rider who gets a bit more downhill stat.
