So are Liq up for a chase or, as I suspect, break by 20? |

I suppose they will let the break win and Sagan will try to be sixth, but anything can happen...

This will be a loooooooong day. I expect the break to win by a huge margin, and then a sprint for sixth place. Can't see any team "wasting" energy on chasing the group.

Sagan doomed that chasing group by being there. Such a fun stage ahead now!

Martinez and Kiserlovski can make a nice jump in top 15/20 of GC if the margin will go somewhere to 10 minutes.

Greenedge think the finish is too hard for Goss. Their focus is on the intermediate sprint, and trying to stop Sagan do well at the finish

Gonna have lots of spare time today...
If you want a read while you wait the July news thread has a link to Wiggins response to the doping questions. Go and enjoy it or laugh at it as you will |

That's just sad. 5 men, almost completely flat and GreenEdge, with still no victories, doesn't chase. Also surprised by Liquigas. Goss won't win tomorrow, either. |

Almost completely flat? I can guarantee you know that all of the top sprinters, bar Sagan, will be dropped on that climb.

Have you looked at the profile? A cat 3 20 km before the finish (5,9 km with 3,4%) and a rising finish like this suits Goss perfectly. To be honest, I can't see any better possibilites for Goss or for that matter GreenEdge.
You gotta take your chances. |
