Was an interesting race.
Great reporting CountArach. Really enjoyed these.

The race might be one of the most interesting. Depending on my next season goals I will try to enter it, but 21 days are quite a lot in especially as I won`t have that many climbers most probably.

Gustavovskiy
This race went very well in the last few stages. A stage win and a top10 are some very nice results to my team.

btw great reporting Count. Merci beacoup.

That was a bad race for us, thinking of results and points. But it was great to be part of it, and the reports were brilliant. Thanks, CountArach.

And congrats to Hollister, that was just an amazing show of strength from their whole team.

Not quite the same as last year - the racing was pretty exciting throughout but early on Hollister pulled away before any of the really tough stages due to splits.

Kiserlowvski having established that early dominence, really looked for the whole race to be in control with a very strong domestique service was never ever in danger (and yes comparisons the Team Sky's Tour de France preformance are valid!).

A number of managers say aloud the wish to enter the Tour of America - the reality though is that it can disappoint as much as it excites. Hollister I am sure will have done very well here - but everyone else kinda had to feed on the scraps and some will be pretty much starved Smile

Super reports and Hollister will have raked in a ton of ranking points there.

Good to see Vesuvio loaness Kirsch and Skujins make the Top 30

The problem, at least mine, was:
The amount of race days for GT riders like mine, would they get much more points then the same amount of race days but smaller stage races would do?

I thought it would be a waste of my GT riders like De la Fuente or Lloret to put them in here, possibly dominating Wink but would have 1/2 or 1/3 of their race days spend on the ToA alone..

Totally agree, and even with the amount of points that Kiserlovski scored, if you look at what the points per race day will end up as, it's still almost not worth me sending a team.

But, I figure I'm nominally an American team, and there's no way that an American team wouldn't got to the Tour of America and try to win it so I send the best team I can. This year it worked for me, last year it most definitely didn't.

And as a bonus this year it pretty much guaranteed I win the American Tour rankings Smile

Of the 63 riders who turned up in America, 50 will walk away from the race with at least 1 ranking point including Amaro Antunes, Vojtech Hacecky and Ismael Kip who have had to wait until now to secure their first ranking points of the season.

The big question with teams points was just how much did Hollister score? The answer, is 795! 37 points per race day makes ToA a huge success for them, while the next best teams could only manage just under 13 per race day.

Did you include the jersey-wearing points when you counted? That gave you about 200 points.
