Darn. Gossy could have really taken that with no Cav, but he doesn't even manage 3rd. Hopefully he has an excuse.

I don´t think Goss had a realistic chance to win this stage. He doesn´t have the speed to pass Greipel in a sprint like today´s.

Not as fast as Greipel, but Orica's train fell apart. How did Veelers get so close?

Are those helmet cover things banned yet? I thought they were, and Greipel was definitely wearing one.

If the cover is added afterwards it´s "illegal", but Greipel just had a transparent cover instead of the white one e.g Henderson´s helmet had. The transparent looks much better, though.

Saxo Bank doing good so far. Breakaway 3 times, mountain jersey, 8th first sprint, 6th second sprint. Not as bad as (some) thought they would be.
Nasty crash, hope no GC riders got hurt (or others, but dont know how realistic it is) |

Great win for Greipel and the train - he and Cavendish still look head and shoulders above the rest for top end, though it would have been intresting to see how Kittel went without the stomach bug. |

Menchov - 144th
Van den Broeck - 151st
Wiggins - 154th
These probably crashed or got caught in the crash.

Dutch and Belgian media both say Wiggins and Cavendish both fell over Robbie Hunter.

Just tuned in, had to go to the 4th of July Parade, looks like it was a nasty crash. I know Cav went down but was their any word on any of the GC guys?
