Seeldrayers came hard late but it is great that Pate could hold on to the leaders all the way...Congrats!!!

haha agree! Good job by Pate by the way! Unfortunate that Cadel got the double but he is hard to beat!
and speaking of big races I can't wait to see some big riders as well! You said Cavendish's first race was the Tour of Qatar right? When will all the other big riders start?
Awesome job! can't wait for the next entry!

Thanks for your words
I´m going to post a small preview for February later. You´re right Cavendish will start in Qatar. But you´ll also see Bradley Wiggins, Flecha, Uran, Froome and probably Ben Swift with Boasson Hagen in the next races. |

After some hard climbs and exciting days in Argentina, we´re leaving San Luis after today´s last stage. Finally, there´s another chance for the pure sprinters in the pack to take a stage as the finish is quite flat.
Zandio was able to get into a late break with Louders. Both of them did a great job with a nice pace but with only 15 kilometres to go, the pack was just too fast for them. But still a nice effort!
The sprint trains were built pretty fast today but our team squad lost some metres to Europcar with Chavanel, who already won 2 stages here. We were not able to close the small gap in the end, which brought Appollonio not the best position for the final sprint.
Unfortunetely there was no chance today for Team Sky. Chavanel took his third stage these days, well done by his team mates. Appollonio managed to get into the Top 6 at least.

yeww sweet!!
hey man just telling you I'm behind you and this story 100%! Looks great, got some followers and every arvo I come back from school i'm hoping theres a new stage up! Can't wait for the Grand Tours and big races!
Good job and keep it up!
Thanks mattie, it´s a pleasure to hear that. Really looking forward to some bigger races
Nice victory wit Danny and also nice placing for the last race wit him and the rest of the team! Solid win and can't wait for the next entry. Also thanks for letting me and everyone else know when the other riders will be starting! Can't wait to see them all in action! I hope this story goes for a while cause a lot of the stories I've seen stop after like 5 races so keep it going! awesome!

Let´s continue with a small summary about the first month with Sky. We´ve had some great results especially by Danny Pate a few days ago, and so we´re quite optimistic for the next races. But let´s have a look at the current rankings.
Continental Tour Individual
Marcel Kittel had an amazing start into his season. With 5 stage wins in Langkawi he´s the one to beat for the next races when it comes to a bunch sprint.

Thanks RMCF
Race calendar for February
The first month is finished but there some more interesting races in February.
I´ve already said something about some bigger names of Team Sky, starting their season in the upcoming weeks. Bradley Wiggins for example is one of them. He´s riding in Portugal ( Volta ao Algarve) for sure to improve his shape and to get some race experience in this new year.
Juan Antonio Flecha is our leader at the early classics in March and April.
He is also trying to get some better legs for the important races. Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne will be his part of this month. Might be possible to see him as decent puncheur in Qatar or Oman maybe.
Geraint Thomas is going to support him there but it´s not impossible, that he is in a better shape so he´s the one, leading Sky maybe.
Mark Cavendish is another big leader, who is starting his season now. The Tour of Qatar is his race this season with some nice bunch sprints hopefully and some wins maybe?
Ben Swift and Eddie Boasson Hagen will travel to Oman ( Tour of Oman) to ride another flat stage race with only one mountain arrival, which is almost perfect for Chris Froome and Rigoberto Uran.
We´re not sure up to here, who´s gonna be the final leader but we really know, that both of them are able to bring home some good results.
Last but not least, we´re visiting Lugano (GP di Lugano) in Switzerland. It´s a beautiful place to be and to ride a nice hilly classic. Thomas Löfkvist might be our leader over there. |
