Just read all the first part of the story and loved it.
I am very happy to see so much (french) canadians in your team.
From a Quebecois (Quebecer)
Thats great to hear!
I'm glad you like the team, I also have a few more Quebecois as targets, as the sponsors absolutely despise the amount of Canadians I have on the team at the moment Rollin is one, but the rest are a secret

Update coming tonight guys! Sorry for the lack of them, the past few weeks I've been in hockey playoffs, and I can now say that my team are City Champions!
But I'm finished hockey now, so I should have more time to procrastinate updating

Hello everyone!
My training has been going really great, over the past month or so, so I think I will be very ready for my first race of the season, the Tour of Oman in just a few days time! I'm extremely nervous, to get a good result early, with my "new" team, and of course with the improvements they've made, it will be harder for me to get leadership roles, atleast early on in the season.
I'd just like to take a moment to congratulate my team-mate Marcel Kittel who took 3 2nd place finishes and 1 win in the Tour of Qatar, less than a week ago today! Cantabria did well in the overall thanks to the TTT which was the stage that the team as a whole won, but also put a bunch of their riders in great positions in the GC. Kittel ended up 5th Overall, but his win and constant podium finishes are sign that he's starting to get his form, unlike the disappointing Tour Down Under, for Marcel.
Tour of Qatar Top 5
1 | Ruben Perez | Euskaltel - Euskadi | 15h27m40s | 2 | Ignatas Konovalovas | Cantabria - Saunier Duval | +49 | 3 | Konstantin Sivstov | Cantabria - Saunier Duval | +1'04 | 4 | Francisco Jose Ventoso | Cantabria - Saunier Duval | +1'16 | 5 | Marcel Kittel | Sky - Spidertech Procycling | +1'16 |
But now, going back to the Tour of Oman, which I will be participating in, just a few days from now, I do believe I can get a solid result for the team. We have sent a very strong lineup, which you can see in the Provisional Startlist below.

For the sprints, we have Eddy Boss, and of course one of Canadian friends, Boivin. I could see him being a crucial lead-out man for Boasson Hagen. In terms of the Green Mountain stage, the team has brought in Bauke Mollema, who can hopefully get the teams first Mountain-top victory of the season. Boasson Hagen may be able to survive the climb as well, and of course I will be with Bauke on that stage to give him whatever he needs, and to protect him from the wind. But on the flat stages, I will play an important role too! I will also be part of the sprint train. If Boasson Hagen is not feeling up to shape on a certain though, I may be allowed to get into the break, so this race has the potential to be very rewarding for me.
Thats about it for now guys! I will hopefully be able to get some good results, and stay tuned for the reports, which will come daily after the stages.
Until next time, bye.

15.2.14 Tour of Oman - Stage 1
Al Sawadi - Al Seeb
Its my first race of the year, and the stage is not really for me, but I'll mostly be looking to get the nerves out of my legs quickly. I want to try and set something up for Eddy, but if I cant I will settle for sitting up in the pack.
I'd love to help set up a win for my team like I've said, but the team may also send someone into the break, just so we have some form of representation there, but I'm just too excited to keep writing.
I told the photographer at the race to try and get some snapshots of me for this blog, and luckily enough he did for me, without charge. Next time he'll have to get my good side...
Later the photographer quickly got up to the break, and Joshua Atkins was able to sneak into the break for the team, which is the most important thing for us, however around the normal distance from the line, the break was reeled in, leaving this stage to the sprinters.
But something crazy happens! Ballan of Katusha makes a bold attack with 2km left and it seems to be holding as he goes under the 1km banner. The gap looks big enough to win, but the sprinters are charging for the line!
But Ballan is too strong! He reminded me of Cancellara powering away from the peloton in the Tour a few years ago! An even bigger consolation for Katusha is that Galimzyanov wins the peloton sprint for 3rd place, and Boasson Hagen gets 4th!

Thank you! I lost a bit of my wisdom (teeth) today, so I will be getting an early start on Spring Break.
If I'm not too high/ drowsy I might be able to play the next stage tonight.

Thanks a lot I'm still eating oreo pudding and breakfast shakes, but I'm not too hungry, suprisingly. I felt much better later tonight, so hopefully I will be able to play some PCM tomorrow.

Thanks! And I agree, he seemed to like Sky a lot
And I'm feeling great other than the pain in my mouth (I almost want to go play Basketball or something) so I really want to get a stage or two out today.
Stay Tuned everyone!

16.2.14 Tour of Oman - Stage 2
Muscat - Al Watayya
Its now my second race day of the year, and the winds here have been wreaking havoc on the peloton. I feel I am strong enough to withstand the gusts, but you should never be too confident of things like these, or else I would find myself proving myself wrong quite often. This stage should be a good one for Eddy or Boivin, so I will likely work for them here today! Lets go!
The days break gets away and its a big group of 9 riders, who are not too much of a factor in the GC, atleast so far, as all the riders had lost time yesterday. This could be a good day for the break, with the 58km/h wind.
With 50km left, the breakaway still has a 7 minute gap to the peloton, and with the echelons forming at any minute, the team was instructed to get as far to the front as possible, although at this point it looks like the break will hold off.
Chris Froome was allowed to go on the attack. Its a good chance to get the team in the top 10, and if the peloton doesn't chase Froome will be riding solo for 40km, or hopefully he can catch the break.
But Froome's move doesn't work as planned and as he is caught the break goes under 10km to go. This one is theirs now! The peloton can still limit the time loses today to ensure that none of the BOTD riders get the overall.
The sprint starts and the Androni rider has the lead to begin. Locatelli also tries to get the win, but....
...Prades makes a good late sprint for the line, and gets the win for his Colombian team!
Borut Bozic is able to lead the peloton home, while Boasson Hagen gets 12th on the stage, 3rd in the peloton sprint. At this point in the season its all about working up your form, so the results are allowable.

Oh just a bit of editing to the pic. Specifically th lighting effects. I can stop doing it though if it looks bad, although I enjoy doing it and think it looks better than normal PCM screens.
