Rams for the NFC West
But yeah Chris Schultz is kinda past his prime! My pick for the SB would be the Texans, or the Pats.

Almost fell of my chair, when read this. Every year I hear this story, that Texans will make playoffs, but somehow this franchise has 0 playoff appearances in it's history. |

I would agree the Pats might make an apperance if Ocho and haynesworth play well. I also think the Eagles will be at the Superbowl with Vick and there highly talented CB's.

i think it will be Steelers and Falcons in the Super Bowl. the Falcons just need to find out how to win in the playoffs.

If the Falcons can get home-field advantage they may have a shot unless they again face a team on a mission like Green Bay last season. Philadelphia is overrated, New York Giants was a personal favorite of mine but I want to see how they handle their defensive issues.
And well if Mannings needs more recovery time I'd say Houston should make the playoffs, Jacksonville and Tennessee are nothing more then .500 teams and with the talent they have they should be able to sweep the division including the Manning-less Colts. (Remember, even with Manning they have been able to beat them or come close to beating them on several occasions, if they get their defense fixed they're dangerous)

Yes the Colts can still be a playoff team without Manning. That is why they signed Kerry Collins, and i wonder why Jacksonville decided to release their only good QB in Jarrard?

I'm going with the Packers (11-5) over the Pats (11-5), NFC Runner up Atlanta (12-4), AFC Runner up Pittsburgh (12-4). NFC Playoff teams, Philadelphia (10-6), St. Louis (9-7), Detroit (10-6) and New Orleans (10-6). AFC teams, New York (10-6), San Diego (11-5), Baltimore (10-6), Houston (11-5).
Top three picks in next year's draft: Carolina, Cincinnati, Arizona. Who the hell takes Luck? All three drafter or signed their QB of the future this season. Going with San Fransisco to trade up to the #1 spot to get him.

Blaine Gabbert and of course they can just give MJD the ball whenever they feel like it

No way imo.. Its all about Manning. At least thats what i think. With Manning on the team it wont be easy to win the division.. But with no Manning on the team it wont even be possible, unless Texans really fails. They do that often though, but they look like a better team this year i think. |

@valverde- Blain Gabbert isnt good enough yet atleast not as good as Jarrad and although it is tempting you cant just rely on MJD.
@siwi- Collins has shown he can still play at top level, so he can lead them to a 8 or 9 win season which will win their division.

Well pretend you just drafted one of the best QB's in the draft, in the 1st round. Would you want him to sit on the bench all year? The Jags aren't going to get into the playoffs anyway. Why not play for the future, giving Gabbert as many reps as possible?
And MJD is a Top 5 RB, I think you can rely on him.
@flashchecvy- Siwi is correct. Look at Collins stats last year. Absolutely awful and he didn't even play the entire season. 14 INT's. Yikes. I'd be surprised if Collins got the Colts 5 wins, although he shouldn't play that much.

The max Collins is gonna play is the opener imo...
For 4th quatre resting they have young prospects. However the colts dont think that those will win them the opener... Ah well. We'll see

did you even watch Collins in the preseason? He was excellent. and if i drafted a GOOD QB i might let him get in if we are winning big considering i already have a QB that can take me to the playoffs. and i didnt say you couldnt rely on MJD i said you cant only rely on him.

No, I rarely watch preseason, because its pre-season. Tell me, how many starting defensive players actually play in the preseason? Plus the secondary takes co-ordination. You cant just toss a bunch of guys in and expect to get good results right away, which is why most QB's stats look very nice in the pre-season.
Also I've only found one game he's played in Pre-season so far, but 5-10 with 45 yards, is hardly "excellent, especially consider his first throw was 29 yards.
Edit:
Just read that McCown will be starter for the Jags

all the starters start the first quarter in preseason games so that means that he played against the starting defenses so you havent proved that he isnt good.

But he will still be playing a starting defense next Sunday? No? So his "excellent" 5-10 can still be used for this arguement, and I conclude that Collins is past his prime and wouldn't win more than 5 games with the Colts this season, although hopefully he doesn't play that long.
And the starters always playing 1st Quarter, isn't always true, especially for the defense.

well i think that he is past his prime but is still good enough to carry the Colts to a winning record while Manning is out.

To react to some stuff that has ben said here.
If Manning misses more time, the Colts are screwed, they don't have a defense to rely on, and the running game is non existent because everything's built around Peyton Manning. Kerry Collins is past his prime and somehow I feel like Manning may miss more games. A neck injury is a pretty risky injury and they don't want to take any risks with something like that until they know he's 100% healthy. Anyone who thinks the Colts are something without Manning is a fool Manning = Colts, Colts = Manning. Enough Said. I actually think that if you take Manning away that Jacksonville and Tennessee are right on par with Indy and that Texas may finally have a golden opportunity to take the division.
Someone called Garrard a good QB, well looking at his numbers from last year Garrard has had 1 good year and that apparently was a fluke since he has sucked ever since and failed to make the Jaguars an actual contender. Not that surprised he was released, Garrard doesn't get you more than 6-7 wins epr year and makes way too much money for someone who cannot achieve more than that.
And Jamie, Gabbert has been plain awful thus far and looked way overmatched in his first preseason games. Just play it safe and let him sit behind McCown who as far as I know hasn't been that bad in the past as a backup in Tampa but that was 3 years ago so we don't know how mediocre he is today. Unfortunately it doesn't work like a video game where if u give young guys reps that they'll have a stat increase I fear that if they play Gabbert now that he will be destroyed and that can't be good for his future career.
And someone said Arizona will draft in the top 3? I'm sorry but have you seen the NFC West? Arizona just got Kolb and with Fitzgerald still there and a more experienced Beanie Wells I can see them beat out St. Louis for the division title. Either Seattle or San Fran will pick top 3/5 from that division I think since they somehow think they can win games with Tarvaris Jackson and Alex Smith as QB's. Unless Seattle puts the Passion of the Hurst in they won't stand a shot unfortunately.
And lastly, I think McCown will get enough opportunities, Jones Drew just had a big knee surgery, if they use him too much he will be done midway trough the season with a pair of broken knees I think.
