you eeejit. Wrong profile.
edit: Yet i'm impressed you gave it the same avatar and signature.
edit 2: Unlikely, you don't generally attack on the last day.

Woops Chrome and Firefox look too similar these days.
---
Danny Pate is the first to go under an hour. 59'03 - 24 seconds slower than he went in the Dauphine

What I was thinking was, you can still get dropped in the closing stages

From the Sky live coverage chat:
"Jonathan Turner: Hi Jack - it's currently dry and around 19-20 degrees. However the course is still damp in places and there are some ominous black clouds overhead. In terms of the wind it's pretty still at the moment but we've been promised some north-easterly breezes later on."
That sounds promising for Evans, if they get both rain and wind.

Cancellara starts very soon.
Will he win then? Probably.

Interesting news from Danish TV. Expert commentator Rolf Sørensen says that they word around France is that Bobby Julich has been hired this season to train the Schlecks at TTs, but he has hardly been able to get them out on the TT bike all year. Also we have seen Cadel Evans doing Reconnaissance on bike this morning, while Andy did it in car. I wonder if that's a wise move from Andys part.

Odd, Bobby Julich is contracted by Sky.

Cancellara leads at first check, 22 secs ahead of Bodnar. Westra btw have upped his pace and is 36" in front of Bodnar at second check. |

But is it an exclusive agreement? Trainers and coaches are sometimes allowed to work for more than one team.
The information is still unconfirmed. |

Westra takes first, 51" ahead of Pate. His time 58'12", 16 seconds faster than what he did in Dauphine. |

Cancellara lost 3 seconds compared to Westra from the first time check to the second. He's now leading with 26 seconds on Westra, 1'02 on Bodnar.

Either Westra went really quick or Cancellara isn't doing so well.
It is raining now

Considering that Westra is about 2'40" behind Martin's time from Dauphine, it doesn't look like Cancellara is doing so well. |

David Millar stuck in traffic
They had to send out an escort
@millarmind David Millar
Descent of Galibier a cake walk compared to race to Grenoble from Alpe. An accident waiting to happen. I now miss the Giro. TdF gone mad.
Note right hand glued to horn. Squeezing between traffic, this is a 'clear' section of road.
10 minutes later
@millarmind David Millar
Prudhomme saves the day, Gendarmerie arrived finally. Might be able to warm-up before TT. Feel car-sick now. And used up adrenalin stores.
Prudhomme came through with the goods. Gendarmerie arrived. Feel car-sick.

It's reported that it's raining on some parts of the course.
EDIT: And Cancellara comes in 57" in front of Westra. Time: 57'15". Would have been a 9th place in Dauphine if my calculations are correct. Don't think he wins.
