This is interesting, anyone spotted any GC conteders caught in the split?
Cadel Evans, according to CN. Hagen and Wiggins are there too.
I think LLS is there too, but I'm not used with him in orange so I might be wrong

Degenkolb <3
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

For the first time ever got really angry at Sky It was perfect finish for Hagen and they wasted such an opportunity. |

Terrible, terrible positiioning from Sky and BMC. Hopefully they'll use that as a lesson for the Tour.
But what a performance from Degenkolb, who looks like another HTC gem. |

He had a mechanical, nothing they could do.
That was an incredible stage, such a brilliant last 20km.

I'm gonna quote myself from yesterday.

My bet for tomorrow is Degenkolb. The final fits him perfectly and he seems to be in good shape too.
For once, I got right in a prediction!
Degenkolb deserved the win today, he was at an own level in the sprint. I don't think even Boasson Hagen could have challenged him.

You're mistaken. Sky got caught out and there was split. Whole Sky Team was chasing the peleton for 10km including Hagen, if they didn't get caught out, he probably wouldn't had that mechanical thus Sky really failed today. |

SO fun to watch a sprint between Degenkolb and Dumoulin. It looked like a father-son ride. |

Degenkolb is such a powerful rider. Impressive win.
I think he will be an amazing classics rider, real threat for Gilbert.

116. | HAEDO Juan Jose | 194 | SAXO BANK SUNGARD | 4h 03' 49" | + 01' 10" | 117. | BASSO Ivan | 91 | LIQUIGAS-CANNONDALE | 4h 03' 52" | + 01' 13" |
Basso definitely has some work to do before he is ready for TDF. If I were Basso, my confidence would have taken a hit if I can't follow Haedo uphill.

Van Den Broeck had a mechanical inside the final 3 km, but was given the same time as Evans and co, rather then the first group with Purito and Vino.

Indeed, awesome finish this one and with a superb performance of Degenkolb. But alot more going on then in some mass sprint. |
