So Contador, Antón, Nibali, Menchov, Di Luca, Scarponi, Kreuziger...
And Sastre , J. Rodriguez... |

I'm willing to place money on the Giro being better entertainment than the Tour this year. |

Giro is always a better entertainment than Tour |

That`s a very risky presumption
It`s indeed a strong startlist there. I think it could be a battle between Contado, Nibali, Scarponi and Menchov.
The others might not concentrate too much on the Giro or just not strong enough. |

Michael Rasmussen's team, Christina Watches, has signed a deal with a new co-name sponsor. The company is still yet to be revealed. |

I'd bet all the money I have on my bank account that the giro will be more entertaining. |

If you have seen France at the Football World Cup then you should know that many stars do not mean great entertainment per se. |

I think Tchmil said that Di Luca will help Rodriguez in the Giro and ride his own chances in the Vuelta.

Kreuziger will fully concentrate in the Giro, and I think that Purito will do the same. As for Antón, he's not going to the Tour, so even if he's peaking for the Vuelta, he'll be dangerous, maybe not for the overall win, but he can tear apart the fild in any climb.
The Giro's gonna be awesome, too bad Clentador will tarnish it with his presence. |

Even if Kreuziger is in top form I don`t see him beating the other four. Same for Rodriguez. Fighting for the 5th maybe but no podium.
Anton was the rider, who could beat the riders in the mountains but I can`t see him doing this in the Giro this year. Don`t think he is participating in top form.
Of course all of them are sure top10 contenders. The 4 riders I listed are just the riders fighting for the overall and podium in my opinion. |

Antón says that he will be, but that he doesn't think he can win the Giro without having more experience of it, so he's aiming for the GC podium and stage wins.

This is not just startlist and mens current condition..It is about Giro and mostly about profile. They beat a tour with mile a year ago. |

Insane startlist.
I think the averages at the climbs will be to high for riders like Menchov, Scarponi, Sastre, Kreuziger and Di Luca. The Giro - especially this year - is aiming for real, pure climbers like Contador, Joaquin Rodriguez and Anton. I think Nibali will ride good though, maybe he will be 3rd again i guess.
Im quite excited and look forward to the climbs at the Giro more than the past years. I guess the mountains and the riders are a level higher this year than the past 5-6 years

I'm curious about what Roman can do now that he'll have a team built around him rather than being a super equipier or having a free role as he usually had in the GTs. Not that I think that he can beat Contador or Menchov, but Nibali and Scarponi...why not. Then we have Joaquim, who shouldn't be able to beat Contador and Menchov either, specially due to his TT abilities (or rather lack of), but he is one of the best climbers among all those guys, and Antón is better climber than all the rest bar AC.
I can see Contador 1st and Menchov 2nd if everything is normal, but I see a much more open fight for the 3rd place, unless Nibali proves me wrong (again). |

Wait, J-Rod is more of a pure climber than Menchov or Sastre? I agree that Contador, J-Rod, Anton, and Nibblesworth will be the top riders there, but for age reasons more than anything (and that I don't really feel that Kreuziger is that good). |

Now that Contador is doing the Giro and the Tour I'm more curious about what Porte will do. If Contador was banned I know the plan was to ride the Tour, but if he was not banned surely Giro leadership was the back-up option? |
