There's was only two movies I cried on I was 8 and I watched Gladiator... and Armageddon. While Arma is bit mehh now, Gladiator is still epic.
This year, well let's see how Hobbit goes. Thankfully this year Twilight won't be highest box office film with Batman and Hobbit ....
Armageddon suckt when you're older and realize that it sucks (no offence to anyone who likes it)
Gladiator is pretty good, love Ridley Scott! |

Perhaps time to ask again - if you like me enjoy silly sitcoms such as Friends and How I Met Your Mother, are there any alternatives currently running that's worth checking out? |

When I was very young, my dad was flipping through the channels. He stopped on a channel and said "This is a good one." I look up and the first thing I see is a sword going straight through some guys helmet with a tremendous amount of blood spurting out. I was traumatized. It was Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Two and a Half Man were pretty good, until they fired Charlie Sheen.
But the previous seasons are great.
Don't know if there are any new worth watching, I stopped watching television half a year ago |

To be honest If I was to watch it again. It would be to see Liv Tyler in a movie again and again it's great soundtrack

I can understand the trauma
Monty Python are legendary. They changed absurd humor, took it to the next level |

Haha, that's so true
If you want, Alakagom, I could advise you some great movies with great women?
Though I understand you'd watch it again for those two reasons!
PS Anyone ever saw Hero (2002) that soundtrack is incredibly beautiful. And perfectly directed, one of the best Asian movies. |

I believe he still has it, a great actor, that man.
Though he'll probably break his leg if he attempts the stunts himself
(like Keanu Reeves' broken leg for the shoots of the final scene of Matrix Revolutions) |

The comedy series that impressed and entertained me the most recently is Community. Absolutely amazing, although it goes much more into the direction of Scrubs rather than the "silly" HIMYM or Friends you mentioned, there's no artificial laughter for instance either.
As for the more "mainstream" sitcoms, I prefer The Big Bang Theory, which has also been mentioned before. I also enjoy "New Girl". It might seem a bit girly (it might actually be a bit girly ), but it's really funny and Zooey Deschanel is pretty awesome. And Hannah Simone is just soooo hot!
Apart from that, there's not much that I've watched recently. But Arrested Development and Modern Family shall be very good. You could have a look at them. If you do, please tell me if you like them

I recommend the The Musical Man episode, it's one of my favourites .
Also The Middle portrays a pretty realistic and hilarious view of low/middle class families here in America, it's worth a mention.

Right, I thought that I had to mention the syncronization but then I forgot it: If anyhow possible, do watch the shows in the English original! It's probably no news, but still

On a kind of different note - Has anyone ever watched either of the movies 'The Road' or 'Into the Wild'? They're amazing.

Into The Wild is incredibly beautiful. Sean Penn's masterpiece.
The music is very good, too.
Great movie!
Never seen The Road, though. Same genre? |

It's amazing, best.soundtrack of any film ever, Eddie Vedder is my favourite musician.
It's a really emotional movie about a man and his son in post-apocalyptic America, just trying to stay alive, not get killed and so on. Its really undrrated, definetly worth watching.
