That does seem fairly unexplainable. And hopefully not common at all.
(Although noone caring about the intermediates or koms is a PCM10 problem full stop)
I never had any problem with people caring for the KOM, always riders in the break who had KOM points would sprint for it.
And about intermediates, you never see breakaway riders sprint for those, but when there's no breakaway, the sprinters in the peloton try to get the points.
I've never had your problem tho, Ringo. |

I've noticed a lot of smaller groups forming behind the peleton. There usually is a "bus" but it's not as big as it used to be, and then there are a gazillion small groups with 1-5 riders in it. This works for me - the sprints are much better for me. I haven't had one GC rider finish in the top 15 after riding 15+ stages on flats(except for Cunego, but i'm playing him and i broke away on a small hill)
I like it, still haven't seen any big mountains though. |

interesting. thought to remember, that freire told they wouldn't touch the AI for mountain stages, since they are happy with the results in there...
It's been a while since I played the game, but my memory tells me that it has been changed. |

I'm not sure if they changed the AI in the mountain stages, but the new time gaps in the hilly stages also affected the mountain stages. |

Anybody know if Cyandie will fix the AI so they make trains at 7-8 km instead of 3.8-4 km??

But the one we got now is only beta, wich means that it's still room for improvment?

beta just means that the patch is 1 day old. They will change it after 1-2 days without changes. It was this way for all other patches.
So I hope they will fix some other things but I think this is the final patch. And to be honest the game is much more playable than before, so I am quite happy with it.
Especially with the original release it is very realistic. And this is most important for Cyanide. With the PPDB a lot of results are still weird, because the matrix doesn`t really works with PCM10. But this is not Cyanide`s problem. They just have to make a realistic Cyanide database. |

Just played Amstel with a custom DB. Trough the race a few rider was falling of the peloton and within the last 20 kilometeren there was a lot of attacks. But they were caught. Only one man kept away and won, 50 seconds ahead of the peloton. Around 60 riders was in the peloton at the start of Cauberg. The race didn't end in a mass sprint, that's the first time.

Well, Amstel is nowhere near to being fixed.
It breaks up a bit in the closing stages, but there was still a group of 60 odd riders at the bottom of the Cauberg.
The problem is it is too hard to drop riders on these short climbs - I tried to in the middle of the race by sticking the whole team on the front and really drilling the pace. Couldn't get rid of anyone even though the whole team had 70+ in hills. Net result was a group of around 150 with 50k to go. Thinned a bit towards the end, but very stupid race, I'm afraid.
Have you ever watched the AGR irl?
Favourites mostly start to attack at 2nd passage of Eyserbosweg (25k from the finish) Then there's at least 80 riders left in the peloton.
This year they started the final hill with like 50 riders in the peloton... The PCM10 version of AGR always seemed realistic to me, only the time gaps weren't..
Point is I tried to make the race as hard as I could in the middle section to break things up. Failed miserably and couldn't get rid of anyone. (As ruben has already pointed out this may well be down to the actual course profile in game)
Anyway, must have completely missed the 60 odd riders in the bunch this year at the bottom of the Cauberg. There was maybe half that if I remember correctly. Oh, and did I mention Boonen was there too in game? |

Perhaps still in good shape from Rvv and PR? |

I can't seem to get spectators to appear. Got the spectactor level on 2, but is there any other setting that would make spectator's appear? Or is this an issue? |

Will there be an update from the daily DB, or is it working normal with the new patch? Don't want to start a career if they you will release an updated pcmdaily.db like you did for the 1.0.3.0 patch. |

According to Freire (Cyanide) you can continue your career with all changes.
All patch fixes are AI or gameplay related, so there should be no problem. |

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. I was wondering if Pcm.daily would make a new database for this patch(like they did with the 1.0.3.0 patch when it came out). Not if the patch is working in my currently career |

Why would they need to do a new database if the database has not changed in this patch? |

Okay - so I'll just wait for the update before starting my career, that would be more logical (when will it be finished - a few days or a few weeks)
Thx CT |
