Paris - Nice: Prologue
The Race to the Sun will start with an 8 kilometers prologue, which includes a intermediate sprint where bonification seconds will be given!
Kloden was the first from the favorites to start but he had a rather disappointing result, losing 27 seconds to the French Champion, Nicolas Vogondy, who was the current leader
Lars Boom had a great day and he finished the 8 kilometers with a time that was one second better than Vogondy's. It was enough though to take the provisional lead
But the former Dutch champion couldn't enjoy his lead for too long as Gerdemann beat his time. The German rider finished with the same time as Boom but he became the new leader
Zabriskie had a very strong ride, finishing 1 seconds behind Gerdemann and Boom, same time as Vogondy. Geraint Thomas also had a good ride, losing just 4 seconds to the first two riders
Luis Leon Sanchez started his race quite well, with a decent time, 12 seconds behind the current leader of the prologue
On paper, Contador shouldn't have had any problems to beat Gerdemann's time, but the German was just too strong today and El Pistolero finished 2 seconds behind him
The general classification after the prologue isn't exactly the same as the results at the finish, some riders getting a few bonus seconds thanks to the unusual intermediate sprint. The podium is the same though, but Zabriskie is on the second place and not Boom.

Paris - Nice: Stage 1
A long flat stage, perfect for a mass sprint. With Canvendish and Goss riding here, we already know who is the main favorite to take the stage win
There were 9 riders in the breakaway but none of them was strong enough to hold on in front of the pack today
In the second half of the race the rain started, making the upcoming mass sprint more interesting but also more dangerous
Three kilometers before the finish, Goss was leading an unorganized pack, but Cavendish was caught way too far behind and it was impossible for him to find his team - mate's wheel
Before the last kilometer was reached, Dumoulin and Blot found their way to the front of the pack. Leezer fastely moved behind the Cofidis riders, using their slipstream
In the last corner, Leezer was in the lead, followed by Dean and Hammond, while neither of the Cofidis riders was strong enough to take the final step
No one was able to stop Leezer, the Dutch being just too strong in the final meters and he took the most important win of his career!
A group of 4 riders lost more than 15 minutes to the pack today, due to the weather conditions. They were all very strong climbers: Kruijswijk, Arroyo, Danielson and Dessel.
The yellow jersey wearer also changed, Zabriskie being now the leader of the race, even though Gerdemann didn't lost time today.

Just because nothing has been posting in 2 weeks doesn't mean its dead.
Although I have no clue. |

First of all, not updating a story for two weeks it doesn't mean that it's dead.
Yes, I'm taking a break at the moment for both of the reasons mentioned above by Kami and valverde, but I also lost some of my motivation. It should be back quite soon though.
As a fanatic follower of this story you must have certainly read that?

Paris - Nice: Stage 2
A second stage made for sprinters in France. And this one should be even more unpredictable, with a more challenging route
Ten riders broke away from the pack today but they didn't manage to work together at all and they had no chance in front of pack led perfectly by HTC and Garmin
Footon's Marco Corti became the first wearer of the polka dot jersey of the race, after taking part in the breakaway
In the closing kilometers of the stage, Cofidis took control of the pack, with Lampre, Cervelo and HTC trying to follow them, while yesterday's surprise winner, Tom Leezer, was no where to be seen
Even though his team - mates put him in a very good position, Dumoulin wasn't able to take advantage of that, and as the final kilometer was approaching he was in the third position, behind Dean and Hammond
But the final 500 meters of the sprint brought us a closer finish than expected, with 7 riders very close to each other in the front of the pack: Dean, Dumoulin, Mondory, Hammond, Galdos, Bonnet and Cardoso
Dean managed to hang in the lead and took the stage win, followed by three Frenchies, Dumoulin, Mondory and Bonnet, while Hammond took only the fifth place even though he was in a great position with 1km to go
The seconds stage of The race to the sun was a perfect one for Garmin, with Zabriskie keeping the yellow jersey, while Dean took the stage win and became the new leader of the points classification

So, when I was ready to start writing again, the game started crashing every single time I try to load the save - game. Great, just great

Why don't you wait for 2011db and start again, would be great with Breschel in your team.

And with Luis Leon Sanchez too.
But still, I hope you can solve that problem. |

Breschel and LL Sanchez would be great but there will be no Menchov
It's a pity tough because I got my motivation back to continue the story and now it looks like I can't do it.

Well there is weeklysave still.
But personally, I don't find it the same when I play with the weekly save. I just don't have as much motivation, as I would with the true save.

Before playing the second stage, I reinstalled the game so there's no weekly save either. I guess a solution would be playing that stage again, using the back-up I've made before the reinstalling...
