I am talking about my season planer, not the editor. And in my eyes the game is plain crap without the possibility to plan the season.
Also I did not wrote anything about implementing my planer into the game, altough I would heavily support having a working season planing within the game. |

Agree with Lachi, in game planer can't be to hard to get in the next game. And for the next game I hope the focus on improvement is on the manager part. Is that not what people have been asking for the last couple of years. And hopefully make a layout that is much better. With the hotkeys, space to next day, back and forward buttons on the mouse work in the game. Look at all the hotkeys in FM, works great. |

The ONE thing I want is the possibility to change the jerseys between the seasons. It's nothing happening in the offseason anyway. if the game could have 50-100 different shirt patterns implented, and each sponsor would demand a certain percentage of some colours, it would be good. Then the offseason would be used, and the sponsors would have more to say. Then it could be a graphical presentation at the start of each season. I know many people have requested this before, but I want to do it as well. |

To be honest, comparing any game of this type to FM is almost unfair. FM is probably the best managing game you can ever get. However, if PCM was to look at it, which they should, and were succesfull in implementing some of the things you find there into PCM, it probably would be a great move. At the moment the game has about as much depth as a puddle . |

You can just replace the jerseys manually when you get to a new season - an automated system wouldnt be very practical, and wouldnt give particularly good looking jerseys

Just thought of something like Pro evoluton soccer jersey making, but you're probably right, it would look bad. |

So true, on both.
FM has evolved over years, but it seams like they are better at listening to the fans.
The depth in the game is like you said, as a puddle. Playing FM it is alot of emotion. Cheering, complaining. Want that feeling in Pcm. |

it must have been already mentioned. but transport needs to be taken into account and squads need to be finalised before the race day (WC style selection for each race. ProTour and Grand Tour races require more notice than other races). it's incredibly unrealistic having a guy race one day in america then the next in europe for example |

Nobody forces you to do unrealistic things, only because you can. I don't care if the AI does it though. |

Lachi, do you want a arcade stile of game or a realistic game. I am with pmtg99. Never thought about it before, but it would be a good feature. And i would put it the under season planing to. You know planing the year, logistics and so on. Logistic chef Henriette Greenwood and race coordinator Charlotte Vange at Saxo Bank |

I didn't even realise you could do that!
Being new, I just assumed the game wouldn't let you and have been thinking; Can the team realistically get from Switzerland to Italy overnight to race the next day?!
LOL

I agree with the fact that there should be some sort of feature in the game that would keep you from participating in 4 races in 4 days, especially if they take place in different countries.
It annoyes me quite a bit to get ready for a race the day after Paris - Roubaix or something, only to find Cancellara, Boonen etc. in the starting lineup even though they both were in the previous race. |

Lachi, do you want a arcade stile of game or a realistic game. I want a game which can be enjoyed. I do unterstand that some people are tempted to believe that realism means good gameplay but that is just not true.
To implement realistic race participation you need the realistic race calender. Which means the game needs hundreds of races, giving these problems:
- Game would come on 20 DVDs and take 5 hours to install
- Game would cost double the prize (or would you accept unrealistic stages????)
- Advancing one (1) day would make you wait for 10 minutes due to race simulation
- Season initialization would take half an hour (to calculate the race participation)
There would be a solution to some of the problems I mentioned, but only if you reduce realism. To implement all "real life" races, this would be needed:
- "Fake races" which cannot be ridden in 3D but only simulated.
- Possibility to play a career without these "fake races"
- Additional simulation mode: Fast simulation, giving dumbed down results for less important races
- Possibility to define wich races without own team participation have to be simulated fast or normal (Definable in career options) |

I want a more realistic career mode, so more interaction with your riders and staff, and more planning into the season beforehand. More choice of equipment and bing back the old feature that has the equipment automatically th correct colour of the teams outfit.
Maybe more races, and bring back variants. Maybe adopting some of the thingw FM has would improve the game.
OH AND BE A PRO MODE!!!!

it happens all the time, you see it alot in the sping classic season.
I agree with Lachi about the game needs to feel arcade like sometimes. In the big mountain stages on PCM10 the race for GC often never starts until the last few KM, this is realistic but not as fun as early editions of the game when the GC men would form a group plenty more KM out and try to drop each other.

PCM 10 is so messed up, i can't believe it! I've just played a race in PCM 09 and PCM 10 to compare the gameplay and you know what? PCM 09 is like a million - no wait: a trillion times better! And i never was a fan of the PCM 09 gameplay before the pcm10 release, but now it feels like heaven! No riders block each other, no mass sprint finish in ardennes classics, better sprints, more gaps on mountains and hills.
I just can't believe how they could mess up the PCM10 gameplay so much! And sorry for my late wondering, but i've never played PCM09 again after PCM10 release.
I just hope they really improve the gameplay for PCM11, otherwise i don't see me buying it.
Maybe it's time for them to change the 3d-part to real time. Idk, but the way it is now really doesn't fit with the new 3d engine. If i attack and get a 1 minute gap (if i ever get this far, in the last 50 km of any hilly race it's impossible to attack), it looks like i'm only 10 seconds away and i always get reeled in by a 100 riders peleton, which is even faster relaying than me attacking. This is soooo frustrating.
And i'm wondering why it's so quiet about this messed up gameplay in the whole community? In the cyanide forum i've searched about this problem and i only found one or two postings that are a few months old. Or is it just my game? I doubt that, in stories here and in the cyanide forum the results look like mine. I think it's bad that people are arranging themselves with this gameplay, well, it's up to them. But i don't care if the correct riders end up being on the podium or top ten, the gameplay ruins the game and my fun totally!
And now i've written more than i wanted to, argh. But i'm just so mad about this right now. I really should start my own cycling game series, but before i can do that, i have to study some programming languages lol |
