You need to be offensive if you want to finish in the top10, you have loose a lot of time after your crash.
There are only flat stages left, so there is no point in attacking. I probably can get Giovanetti into the top 10 after a really good ITT. Bugno should be able to win the ITT stage and Fidanza the last 2 flat races. The last one was a little to hilly for him. Perhaps the last one is too.
Anyway, I'm going for stage wins now. And I'm happy this fall happens now and not in the Tour....

This edition of the Giro lacks big names. Chioccioli (Del Tongo) is the ultimate favourite to win the Giro and his competition consists mainly of riders that are not made the Tour-selection of the various teams. Hampsten (Motorola) will be Chioccioli his biggest competition, but so far we have seen very little of the American this year. Giovanetti (Gatorade), Elli (Ariostea), Claveyrolat (RMO), Millar (Z), Gaston (CLAS) and Sierra (Selle Italia) all are OK climbers but are not expected to make it Chioccioli difficult. The weakside of Chioccioli (Del Tongo) is probaby his team. He brings only 6 teammates to the Giro, including the sprinter Cipollini, leaving only very little helpers for the high mountains.
The battle for the points jersey in contrast could be a really exciting one. With Cipollini (Del Tongo), Kelly (PDM), Fidanza (Gatorade) and Van der Poel (Tulip) participating.
Starting list:
Del Tongo
1. Chioccioli
2. Bielli
3. Cesarini
4. Cipollini
5. Lecchi
6. Poli
7. Roscioli

204. Parkin
205. Patry

Great result on the first stage, but where was Cipo?
I think maybe you should cut down on the details a bit, to make it a little easier to read.
Cipollini was definitively there in the intermediate sprints. The finish in the first two stages was too hilly. I guess he lost it there. But he will definitively be there in the flat races. And hopefully Fidanza is too.
And sorry, I have to admit that I'm a bit of a detail freak....
Chioccioli (Del Tongo) als took the 3rd stage, which was more or less a delayed prologue.
But it didn't come easy as Giovanetti (Gatorade) was only 3" behind.
Passera (Gatorade) los his pink jersey as his ITT performance is not good. He did the best he could and at least stays on the podium behind Chioccioli (Del Tongo) and Giovanetti (Gatorade).
Also Elli (Ariostea) did good in the ITT and takes the 5th position.

I'm trying out a new format. It should be more readible than the previous one without giving up on details. Let me know if you like it. Or hate it.
