You can be dead sure that BMC is going to the TdF too. |

Without Cadel, I don't see much point in inviting Lotto back to the TDF. If I were calling the shots for the ASO, this would be my tour lineup:
Keep:
Cervelo
Saxobank
Rabobank
Garmin
Euskaltel
Columbia
AG2R
Liquigas
Française des Jeux
Caisse d'Epargne
Cofidis
Lampre
BBox
Quickstep
Katusha
Milram
Out:
Lotto
Astana (with or without Contador, they're too messed up)
Agritubel
Skil-Shimano
In:
Radio Shack
Sky
BMC
Vacansoleil |

No way Contador's out of the next TdF. And I hardly see Lotto out before Milram or Sky. |

Why lotto out? VandenBroeck showed great potential this year.
he's a possible top 10 finisher
a lot better then some other teams you wanna keep in
and like i said before . ASO will never allow 4 american teams to participate (Radioshack,Columbia, BMC (50% american) & garmin)
they have this (secret) rule that does not allow that.
like there can only be max 3 belgian teams, 2 dutch ,...

well according to a belgian newspaper (source austalian newspaper)he says the folowing
1) with BMC i get all the freedom i want
2) the atmosphere is mucht better at BMC
3) BMC has riders who would work for me 100% starting day one
4)BMC has the riders capable (physically to do that).
Not in the mountains, they're even weaker than Lotto by far.
that is what the newspaper says.
im not making this shit up you know

If he stays with Astana, he's out... I'm pretty sure he's going to Caisse d'Epargne, though.
Milram will be in - you've got to have a German team. Vacansoleil would take Lotto's slot in the Benelux teams.
Where it comes to Team Sky, I think they have the momentum - especially if they can pick up Wiggins. Lotto needs to lick it's wounds and decide on it's priorities - do they want to focus on Classics or the Grand Tours? I think they'd be better off trying to shape themselves into a killer Classics team instead of a mediocre Stage Race team. |

That's possible, but I can't see them turning away any one of the four - they're not going to want to lose the visibility of Armstrong and Radioshack. Likewise, the Cavendish vs. Ferrar rivalry is too good to pass up. So that leaves BMC - and how can you drop a team with Cadel Evans and George Hincapie on it?
I like Van Den Broeck too... but he's not good enough to build a team around. Maybe if he were a legitimate French GC contender like Feillu, but he's not... so Lotto should get dumped. |

But I think they are pretty good team for TdF with Van den Broeck, Moreno, Gilbert and probably more news signings... |

Since when was Feillu a legitimate GC contender?

They're a good young team that isn't afraid to mix it up... and they've got Bryce Feillu. Feillu vs. Van Den Broeck - who do you think the ASO is going to pick? |

Okay... maybe legitimate was the wrong word to use... but he's an outside shot - he's the next great French hope, and that should be enough to get Vacansoleil into the Tour. |

Guess so due to Evans his bad tour , but then again he's WC.
So someone will surely get dropped
and it will be a major loss.

I think they're trying to have it both ways - they're a Begian team, so they've got to emphasize the Classics, but they have to invest heavily to participate in the GT's... the result is that they aren't reaching their potential in either. They should just build themselves around winning the Classics and maybe the Giro... forget about the TdF - it takes too much away.
Just as a sidenote... I think Cadel would have been a better fit with a team like Euskaltel - can you imagine if he had them supporting him in the Mountains? |

Evans is probably the second best rider on the pro circuit. He only had a bad tour because he was on a weak team. Of course, he didn't change that much by signing with BMC... but if he were on Euskaltel last year, he would have been on the podium. |
