Finnaly, STYBAR!!!!
Sprint with 4 ppl.
1. Stybar
2. Pauwels
3. Albert
4. Klaas Vanthornhout
5. Aernouts (Very good race by him but had to let a gap in the final round)
6. Nys
Nys lost 30 seconds because of mechanicals problems once again.

Finally Stybar get's one. He deserved this after trying again and again and again. Not much Albert could've done about it, although he was technially pretty rubbish at times.
Bad luck for Nys, again... Almost it costed him the GVA classification already but by finishing 6th and Albert only 3rd, Nys still has a good shot.
And indeed, great race by Aenouts. If he'd be of the same level of Nys and Albert, every single cross would be like a WC to watch. He just attacks whenever he can, no exceptions. |

but this arent good circumstances for albert. just the fact that there is a 10 men groupe up front says it all. without rain this course is too easy. |

Stybar was very strong again. Albert just got dropped in the last lap. Btw that was the first time this season Albert didn't make the podium. |

They were discussing whether or not the big cyclo cross organisers (like Gazet van Antwerpen and Superprestige) should organise more crosses, like some other organisers (naming Notts and Derby league and a few others as example).

Yup, those are correct.
For Albert, the weather needs to chance fast or he'll start losing more These fast crosses are perfect for Stybar. I was also suprized by Vantornout and Vanthourenhout. For Klaas this isnt his terrain at all, and he still makes his first podium this season, while Sven is coming back from a rest period only this weekend. 5th was superb for him.
Anyway, overall, it's looking rather good in the standigs for Nys here. I think he'll be going for the Superprestige, trying to win it for the 10th time. The World Cup is out of his reach so this will be a nice focus for him. |
