STAGE 6 : CHATEAUX - LA MONTAGNE DE LURE

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/profil-19.jpg

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/ausreier-14.jpg

The breakaway

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sanchezattackiert.jpg

And on the final climb today the man in yellow Leon Sanchez attacks first.
Marzano and Pellizotti go after him.Sanchez seems to be very strong on this stage.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/5km-1.jpg

5 km to go.Sanchez and Valjavec are in front.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sanchezwirdeingeholt.jpg

The first chasing group with Wiggins , Pellizotti and Bak is coming to Sanchez and Valjavec.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/1km-4.jpg

The last km and Sanchez is too strong he got a little gap between him and the group with Wiggins , Bak and Pellizotti.
The second chasing group is only 4-5 seconds behind them.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sprint-1.jpg

The sprint begins and Sanchez is still in front. But it will be a great fight for the podium between Wiggins , Bak and Pellizotti.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sanchezsiegt.jpg

Sanchez is the winner!!!

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sanchezsiegt2.jpg

Wiggins becomes second in front of Pellizotti and Bak who is still surprising me.

Ivanov and Botcharov lost a lot of time which did not surprise me because they are not the best climbers.

Stage results:
1 Luis León Sánchez Caisse d'Epargne 4h51'50

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/profil-20.jpg

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/ausreier-15.jpg

The breakaway with more than 10 riders today.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sprinttrains.jpg

The sprint trains and Pozzato makes it the same way like the first two stages. He´s watching for the best backwheel.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/4kmtogo-1.jpg

With only 4 km to go he took the backwheel of a Quick Step rider but it´s not Davis.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/dersprintbeginnt-4.jpg

The sprint begins and Davis is already in front. But Pozzato looks good.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/entspurt.jpg

The last metres and David is still in front. This is going to be a very close finish between him and O´Grady.Petacchi is third in front of Pozzato.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/davissiegt.jpg

And the winner is....Allan Davis from Quick Step.Second O´Grady and third Petacchi.
Pozzato becomes fourth which is really good i think.
He kept his sprinter jersey.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/profil-21.jpg

The breakaway with Mazzanti.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/mazzantiholtdienchstenbergpunkte.jpg

And he is getting a few points there.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/ChavanelBakIvanovattackieren.jpg

On the final climb Chavanel and Bak attacked first. And Ivanov went after them.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/chavanelnochvorne.jpg

With only 3 km to go Chavanel is still in front with a little gap between him and Ivanov.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/diespitzengruppebeimsprint.jpg

1,5 km to go and the sprint begins!Chavanel is in front but Bak seems to be very fast.Well he´s wearing the jersey for the best sprinter!!!!
Ivanov is still on the third postion.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/bakgehtvorbei.jpg

On the last 300 metres Bak makes his move and he is unbelievable fast at this climb!!!

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/baksiegt.jpg

Bak is the winner in front of Chavanel who can defend the second place.
Ivanov with a great third place. He seems to be in a good form for the classics!!

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/ausreier-17.jpg

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/cunegokirchenattackieren15km.jpg

15 km to go Cunego and Kirchen are attacking.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/abfahrt.jpg

And on the downhill no one can follow them.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/spitzengruppe.jpg

With only 2 km to go this is the leading group,Kirchen and Cunego.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/ersteverfolgergruppe.jpg

Devolder and Ballan are in the first chasing group.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/pozzatoweitzurck.jpg

Pozzato is far away from them he lost the connection.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/dersprint.jpg

Only 1 km to go and this is the sprint. Both of them are really good sprinters so it will be close i think.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/dersprintderverfolgergruppe.jpg

The sprint begins for the first chasing group with Ballan and Devolder.
Ballan should take the third place i think he´s the better one.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/cunegosiegt.jpg

Cunego is the winner of this stage.Second place goes to Kim Kirchen.
And third is....

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/ballandritter.jpg

Ballan who beats Devolder in the sprint. But where is Pozzato??

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/therecomespozzato.jpg

STAGE 6 : CIVITANOVA MARCHE - CAMERINO

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/profil-25.jpg

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/ausreier-19.jpg

The breakaway

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/samuelsanchezattacksfirst.jpg

Samuel Sanchez attacks on the hardest climb of Tirreno - Adriatico 2009 with more than 40 km to go.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/contadorgreiftauchan.jpg

Also Contador tries to get away from the pack.He was very passive up to here.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/kirchenattackiertamletzenanstieg.jpg

On the last hill today Kirchen makes his move.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/nuyenssetztnach.jpg

And Nuyens , Di Luca and Fränk Schleck go after him.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/frnkschleckgreiftan.jpg

And with only 4 km to go there is a leading group with F.Schleck,Di Luca and Kim Kirchen.Schleck makes his move and it seems to be very successful.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/schleckvorne1km.jpg

Schleck is still in front with only 1 km to go.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/attackevondiluca.jpg

And Di Luca attackes again on the last 1000 metres. Can Kirchen counter that??

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/schlecksiegt.jpg

Schleck wins the stage but not the leader jersey.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/diluca2ter.jpg

Kirchen couldn´t counter Di Luca´s attack.Di Luca becomes second,Kirchen third.
And Pozzato lost more than 7 minutesSmile

FINAL STAGE : S.BENEDETTO DEL TRONTO

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/profil-26.jpg

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/ausreier-20.jpg

Colli and Gerdemann were in the breakaway.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/ausreierimmernochvorne.jpg

With 10 km to go the breakaway was still in front with more than one minute.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/celliundgerdemann5km.jpg

5km for the breakaway.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sprinterzge-4.jpg

5 km to go and the pack comes really fast and as you can see the sprint trains are already created.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/4km-1.jpg

Only 4 km to go and the breakaway has still a big advantage.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/sprintbeginnt-1.jpg

Then the sprint begins but they won´t be able to get the breakaway.Swift and Napolitano preparing the sprint for Pozzato.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/1km-6.jpg

1km to go and Gerdemann can´t follow Colli anymore! This will be another stage win for a breakaway.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/1kmfrdashauptfeld.jpg

The pack is sprinting for the last podium and it looks great for Pozzato.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/collisiegtvorgerdemann.jpg

Colli is the stage winner!!Gerdemann is second.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/pozzatovorne-1.jpg

Pozzato has a big advantage now because no one wants to follow him so he will keep the jersey for the best sprinter.

i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/Batista15/pozzatodritterswiftvierter.jpg

Another podium for Pozzato and Swift is even fourth,
