Vuelta a Espana Stage 7
Wegmann, Nuyens and Gilbert were in the breakaway but still no chance for them today
Valverde crashes on the last downhill
Kloden goes down too
After some attacks the situation is...
Evans is leading
He is chased by F.Schleck and Contador
In the third group are Ricco and Menchov
While Lovkvist is with the gold jersey
Remember Menchov in the RL Tour (crashed on uphill)? Well Contador did the same today
Probably because of that devil. And he lost the third place in the stage
Evans was the winer. And the new leader

John Devine is one of the escapes today
After the breakaway was made Barredo attacks to go there too
He and Devine are in front on Puerto de la Bonaigua
2 groups were made after Puerto de la Bonaigua between the breakaway and the pack.
The first one is made by Evans, Leipheimer, Schleck, Mosquera and Pelizzotti
And the second one by Menchov, Lovkvist, Contador and Sanchez
Devine and Barredo attacked in the first position Plat de Beret, but Leipheimer is now taking the lead
5km to the top and Contador is caught, with him is Devine

I was better after the 2 check points than Gusev and Sanchez, but with not very much though. At the finish 20 seconds faster than Gusev so I thought I did well on the last part and I was surprised to see Sanchez beating Gerdemann.
And rjc the stage was on normal(). But there aren't any TT-ers in the race much better, even he has 68, than him plus that he was +5 form of the day, while for example Gerdemann, performing very close to victory +1. |
