Tomorrow will be epic, Csc have to attack, they can't sit with Evans and Menchov.
they also had to attack today, since they have a 0% chance of getting all the time they need tomorrow. but they didn't.
This is why I rank the tour third in the grand tours from a fan's perspective: it's overrated all year and when we get to it it always throws up mediocrity.
Yeah, the giro was funnier to watch, but they don't send the vuelta on any of the channels I got here in Norway |

So tomorrow we find out if Frank is going to blow up tremendously as he always does when there are two consecutive mountain stages.

I'm very dissapointed that CSC didn't attack on Bonette-Restefond, the way they rode today they are giving Evans the Tour win on a silver platter. He's gonna annihilate Frank in the time trial. If Sastre has a good time trial he can limit the loss to about 2 minutes, but I could easily see Frank losing between 3 and 4 minutes on that time trial.
Very bad day for Menchov also, he will need to attack tomorrow also, so he and CSC should team up to crack Evans, that's their only chance right now. Maybe they can take 3rd place now with Vandevelde dropping off today, but then Sastre has to beat Kohl on the time trial and I'm not 100% sure he would do that, since I don't know much about Kohl's time trial abilities.
Also it's very bitter right now that Andy had an off-day on Hautacam. Imagine where he could've been now. I would like to hear Ruben's opinion on how Andy has been riding since Hautacam, as he seems to consider Andy as a complete nobody.
Anyway, Sastre up to 4th, Schleck still in yellow and little-Schleck is moving a bit in on the white jersey again, eventhough I don't know how much time Monfort, Kreuziger and Nibali lost today. This is such a great race!

Tomorrow is last hope for fun...But I still vote TdF as greatest tour...this year profile is a liitle booring. Only Hautcam and Alpe d'Huez. ASO is happy to look GC table..so tight peak at the moment. |

Okay... we're down to 5.
Schleck, Kohl, Evans, Sastre and Menchov.
Everyone else is out of it now I think. After what we've seen so far... I'm backing Kohl now that Vandevelde is out of it. He wasn't mentioned at all prior to the Tour... I like the underdog.
Hopefully it will be the whole group ganging up on Evans tomorrow... I think they know with the TT that he's still the favorite, regardless of who's wearing yellow. |

miles better than Sastre and Schleck.
I find it amazing how every year the Tour is much more boring than the Giro and the Vuelta, yet people always go "ZOMFGLOLZ it waz deh gretezt race evarz!!"

It's all Evans and Menchov, there is no way that Schleck, Sastre and Kohl can gain 3 minutes on Alpe D'Huez, and agian was F. Schleck not on top on Restefond, where he told Andy to slow down, but I think that Sastre looked very ready at the last but he was not allowed to attack.

It's because of the magic of the Tour , also I would like to claim my right to say that the Giro was incredibly boring this year.
That being said, as you said CSC might very well have lost the Tour today, and that is very dissapointed when you look at how CSC attacked at every possible opportunity in last year's Vuelta.

F.Schleck: Will not lose a lot of time tomorrow, but doesn't have power enough to get away from the others.
Evans: Everything is about limit his losses tomorrow, he will have to gain time on TT and he will, but I'm not sure if it's enough.
Menchov: Could still be dangerous, but feels like he is more a top 3 rider this year with all mistakes he is doing. If he wins he was clearly the strongest rider.
Kohl: My guess for winning tomorrow, but i won't be enough to win the GC. Another rider for the top 3 I think.
Sastre:Not strong enough this year, will lose a lot on the TT and end in 5th place.
Top 5 guess:
1. Evans
2. Kohl
3. Menchov
4. F.Schleck
5. Sastre |

I don't agree with you at all that Sastre isn't strong enough and I think he will prove you wrong tomorrow. But I'm not sure and quite frankly I don't think he can take enough time.

I think that Sastre is stronger than F. Schleck he looked much stronger today, and so did A. Schleck if it wasn't for he's bad day at Hautacam he would be in top 5 now.

For my own db, im going to lower all rabo's downhill stats to 50, or at least Dekker/Menchov/Gesink.
They should get a downhill cursus from Savoldelli in the winter |

Losing 38 seconds on a flat stage, falling when you attack, losing 30 secs in a downhill... this really isn't Menchov's Tour...
If he had not made all those mistakes (ok, falling was not a mistake) he'd be in yellow rigth now...
Still... he can win, but he needs to take one minute on Evans tomorrow. if he does that he'll win. |
