huh?
In fact it was planned for him to stop before the first rest day but his was not happy with his results during the first week. So now that the mountain are coming he decided to stop his participation in this year Giro (Marc Madiot's strategy, he did the same with Arnaud Demare last year) |

I'm not sure it's really like Démare, as it was his first G.T. last year, whereas Bouhanni has already ridden a full Vuelta.
I'd say Bouhanni is quitting because there's almost only mountains from now on, and he's got no points jersey or anything to defend. |

Thought Bouhani might give tomorrow a bash first but obviously they feel it's too hard to be in contention for the sprint (almost certainly minus Cav). |

Bouhanni turning into a new Cipollini? Attending GTs only for the sprints and quit in the middle. |

100th career win for Cav, as it seems. Not bad ^^
Does he only have 100 victories? I thought he had a lot more already. So he has less victories than Greipel who celebrated his 100th victory in TDU this year.
As Greipel started real Road Racing in '05 (arguable) it's not that surprising. Plus its not the number but the quality, and Mark's palmares is packed with quality

Cipollini finished the Giro many times

After today's stage, we saw it coming. Best decision, Uran can do something here, now! |

still stupid they let uran wait earlier in the giro. He could've been a close threat to Nibali.. now he isn't.. thanks sky
this is the 2nd or 3rd time they kept so rigidly to "plan A" that plan B either failed or is too late

Also, the fight from pink is reduced to one of the three pre favorites. It's going fast! |

It's never late. We saw what Rigo can do,so , he can maybe take that 2 minutes. But chances are small,of course. Wiggins just ruined his chance for much better position.
Wiggins or Henao-Uran for next season, someone will leave for sure.

I highly doubt it. The main reason he got away on Altopiano is that Nibali was watching Wiggins, allowing Uran to build up an advantage of almost a minute before the favourites started to speed up.
Now that he's closer on GC and Sky's captain, they wont let him do that.

Can't wait to see Froome's reaction when Wiggins abandons the Giro and announces he will defend his Tour title. |

So Wiggins has apparently stated he wants to continue and ride for the team but decision to be made tomorrow. I hope he manages it but with more rain forecast tomorrow the doctor might advise against it with the risk of pneumonia setting in.
In some ways he got lucky with when the illness hit with these transitional stages but unlucky with the ongoing weather. |

As we know though, the best reactions are their wives on twitter!
