Some slight remarks on your further very nice and original reports:
In some stages the final kilometers could be a bit more detailed. I can recall the stage won by Ulissi, where it was 20km to go-2/3 screens of the pack chasing-Ulissi has won. It would be nice to see a bit more detail in between.
But as said, very well done. I didn't enjoy my team as much as the reports

Yeah I'm aware of that, but truth is that I didn't find a good way of doing that But I promise that I will
Also would you prefer long details around each picture, or was the simple details theme better ?

Well as i (too) subtly alluded to, CCC were abnormally strong on stages 7 and 8. Plus it's something we just try and avoid in order to prevent any cheating/acussations or cheating.

All stages was the first try, and was just as surprised by their dominance in the last two stages as you

I have already posted this in my Team HQ, but I was hoping someone would see it quicker if I posted it here:
I was wondering if it was possible to race Madison races in PCM, as I was hoping to race some 6 day races, to post on my team HQ, and if so how do you do it.
Thanks
Joe

Well this is an awkward double post, but considering the two hour time difference i think it's okay...
As a bit of heads up Japan Cup is going to be couple of weeks away at best. Partly because of life and partly because i'm going to try something very different with the report that will take a lot more effort to put together (oh so much pointless effort).
I'll make it up with a lot more Godzilla jokes and, hopefully, potentially the best report you will ever have seen
Christ i have set a high bar for myself there

TheManxMissile - You do realise that your future on PCM Daily now rests on how good a report on the Japan Cup you come up with |

hmm, I don't like the sound of "weeks", but we'll see how the rest goes
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I could do a normal report and post it sometime next week, but where's the fun in that! Certainly no later than the 22nd

You have a maximum of 17 days.
It better be the best report ever, or else

If it's in Japanese then you die. And if it's as bad as the Strade Bianche report you also die.

A few classics to go, those can be done really fast. Beijing is 5 days, should be ok as well. Hainan is 8 days, but it will be shorter reports, so I'm rather confident. Oh, and 1 Burgos stage
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

About Beijing, I already have a preview ready, but I'd rather wait until Lombardia is up, as, well, my report will slightly be based on that.

The list of favourites is a short one for this sprinters' classic and one where only four different teams are represented. In truth if Sky, Orica, Europcar and Belkin don't, at least, make the top four they can't be satisfied with this race.
The race is predicted to end in a sprint, but we have seen a number of sure sprint finishes end in a breakaway win. There is EPIC interest in this race, perhaps the likes of Kahki, Birtles or even one of the Feunard's will take a surprise win.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE RACE:
French champ leads the race.
After some real effort to get into the break of the day, 7 riders did manage to make it, they were:
- Sicard
- Puccio
- Locatelli
- Zingle
- Cappelle
- Wallays
- Xu
The break would reach its max advantage of 6'00 over the bunch with 120 KM to go. Belkin and Orica the main chasers. Team Sky conserve energy, why not, with a man in the break.
Arashiro!
Arashiro gives the Japanese something to shout about as he puts in a kamikaze like attack with 40 KM to go and the break at 1'23. Some exposure is gained for his team but the attack quickly comes to nothing.
17 KM to go: break @ 1'00.
The break still survive with 15 KM to go as we see the next attack out of the bunch, this time it is from Delage. Like Arashiro the attack quickly comes to nothing.
5.5 KM to go:
7 man break --
Offredo/Turgot -- @ '18
Peloton -- @ '31
With under 6 KM to go the original break still lead. Offredo and Turgot, two of the top rouleurs here, have springed off the front of the peloton, but are struggling to catch the original break.
Team Sky have Puccio up the road but they put domestiques on the front of the peloton, they want this to end in a bunch sprint.
Under 5 KM to go. Zingles leaves the rest of the break in his wake, but can he hold off the marauding peloton?
- 300 meters to go.
Zingle leads the race. Puccio is in no man's land. The sprint trains are in full force just behind, the most prominent of which looks to be Belkin with Bos putting in a great turn. Hanzen is a few bike lengths behind.
- 200 meters to go.
Will it be heartbreak for Zingle?
Zingle is caught and passed as the finish is beckoning. Brouwer leads for Belkin but Coquard is still in contention for the win. Goss is a bike length back and Hanzen is a further bike length down, but coming up fast.
Who will win the Tour de Vendée?
Brouwer wins the Tour de Vendée. He had the best lead-out and he was the fastest, a potent combination. Coquard finishes half a bike length down and Goss holds off Hanzen for the final spot on the podium.
