Dayummm Kelderman great! Too bad Ulissi is too strong in the sprint! Boring end of the stage though, everyone waits sooo long...
Why to bad Ulissi being strong?
I bet on Kelderman . |

Why are people surprised by Kelderman? He held up great so far in the week-long stage races (notable Catalunya) and of course he's riding even stronger here. We know he can climb those medium mountains well, what will be interesting is how he can perform in the high mountains.

Ulissi is becoming a top class rider.
And things are looking good for Kelderman. But still two weeks to go.

I've got a feeling this is Urán's turn. Not sure why, but I think Rigo's gonna win this year. |

Looks like Quintana is planning to finish 2nd in Giro!!
First Mountain stage, and classified as Medium Mountains. Bit early to say that.
Dont forget Quintana was involved in 2 crashes allready and is in some pain while Evans isnt.
THIS!
Quintana looks good considering he must be feeling sore, providing doesn't lose anymore time and recovers for the brutal 3rd week this is still his Giro

Here we go... Just don't cry or make excuses when "Nairo boy" drops 5 minutes on him in last week. |

Indeed.
Problem is that Kelderman has just been unlucky in 2014(crashes, mechanicals).

Only 22 or 23 years old and a GT is something different than a smaller UWT race. And also considering the names he's riding against he's surprising a lot in my opinion. I expected him to be in the first groups at the mountains though, still him riding so easy and sprinting to top 10s I didn't expect. |

This. Quintana still has absolutely everything in his hands. It's just too early.

Quintana said before the stage he was worried how much power he might have in his left leg given the crashes and everything he's been tangled up in.

We all know Nairo is a great mountain rider, but in TT Kelderman is stronger ON PAPER. I just hope for a top 10 for Kelderman, maybe top 5 if he stays strong.
Nairo will most likely win the Giro in the high mountains. |

Of course it's not a given for such a young rider but he doesn't surprise me honestly. Technically, we're still in the length of a week-long stage race. Plus, Giro and Catalunya... there were bigger names in total with Contador, Purito (massive in form), Froome, T.J. at Catalunya. At Paris-Nice, he was doing great too but, like in Catalunya, had some bad luck. He surely does great so far, but I didn't really expect anything else from him. Then again, maybe I am one of Jesleyh's turned zombies?

Acknowledge what? It was a joke! I would never believe of Quintana losing a GT after what happened last year in the Tour. |

Lampre all about Ulissi for any vague possibility on GC now. Cunego over 3 minutes down and Niemic had a mechanical when the pace went up on the first climb and was way down. |
