The 6th stage is maybe the ´queen´stage of this year´s Tour de Pologne. Our team won´t have any chance to get a good overall position for Siutsou but with Greipel´s stage win we are quite happy so far. Traksel was really good yesterday but if he can repeat that on today´s stage, I´m not sure because there are more climbs. So my tip is again Igor Anton
Jan Ghyselinck was in today´s breakaway and he did a great job there, winning almost every mountain sprint. Finally he was able to get 50 points which brought him the white jersey again
This time it was Siutsou who made the first serious move on one of the last climbs. But he wasn´t alone, ´cause Fothen was also quite strong, following him with ease
Barredo and Kessiakoff also tried it but they couldn´t reach them. I don´t think they were in a good shape as they´re dropped back to the peloton
On the top of this climb, Veikkanen made his move while Traksel was still in the pack just like Igor Anton
Igor Anton was the last one starting an attack in these moments. He could reach the first groups quickly while Veikkanen was able to arrive Siutsou and Markus Fothen. They were in front of Igor Anton with only 9 kilometres to go
On the last uphill part it was Veikkanen who made the final move. Siutsou tried to counter that but he hadn´t enough power left. Fothen even dropped back behind Igor Anton
Veikkanen was too strong for us today! Siutsou still got a great placement beating Igor Anton on the last metres for the second place
Traksel came with more than one minute behind Veikkanen. Unfortunely he lost the leader´s jersey to Igor Anton

Good result with Siutsou. Veikkanen was extremely strong.
What a pity that you lost that much time with him earlier. |

Last stage in Pologne and there will be another chance for the sprinters. Greipel´s shape is already great so far. So he might be able to get another podium for us
The last 20 kilometres were really strange as many dropped back in the pack. There were built many groups but we were able to bring Greipel, Siutsou and at least Sieberg in the first group. Grabsch our most important man for the sprint train was also behind
So it was up to Marcel Sieberg today! His performances in the last flat stages weren´t really positive so we had no big hopes for today. But with only 5 kilometres to go, our two man sprint train looks quite ok so far while nobody was interested to follow Greipel. In addition the pack was brought together in the end
Greipel had no trouble to leave Sieberg´s slipstream. No one could follow him. The other teams were not able to build a sprint train today
Second stage win for Andre Greipel and I think he´s ready for the Vuelta! De Haes and Förster complete the podium for today while Igor Anton celebrates his overall victory

Well, two stage wins even with onla an average lead-out Greipel seems ready for La Vuelta! |

By the way! Maxime Monfort was in Belgian for the National Time Trial Championships... He was quite out of shape after the Tour but he still got a nice placement!
Maxime finished as 3rd behind Cornu, who was unbeatable today, and Rosseler |

The first one day classic in August for Columbia is in Germany. Andre Greipel really wants to ride in his home country. The race profil is very easy, as there are only a few hilly sections in the end but they shouldn´t be too hard for the great sprinters who will attend in Hamburg, Germany.
Just to call a few names: Pozzato, McEwen, Napolitano ( They´re all from Katusha and I´m really looking forward to their sprint train..who of them will be the captain?) Furthermore, we have Ciolek, Petacchi, Bennati, Boasson Hagen, Bos and Hunter as rivals. Greipel is in an amazing shape by now, so I think we´ve got good chances there!
So as I said, Andre Greipel is our man today! With Bernhard Eisel and Matthew Goss, we´ve got two prospective leadout men for Greipel. Peter Velits is another chance to get at least the Top 5 result which is pretty important for our sponsor. So when there will be some attacks on one of those hills, Velits should be able to counter that |

Good luck! With Eisel as lead-out, Greipel is probably unbeatable |

A group of 4 riders could leave the pack in the beginning. The most famous names there might be Marcato and Hondo. All of them were really motivated to have a successful try and it worked as they had a big advantage about 7-8 minutes
Behind them in the pack, it was especially Team Milram, who was working for a long time. Looked like they´re sure Ciolek can win today..mhh we´ll see that
As we exspected there were some attacks on the last hilly part of this race. Surprisingly, it was Boasson Hagen, one of those great sprinters, who made a move. Kohler from BMC tried to follow him
For this reason we had an attentive Peter Velits, who was able to counter these attacks immediately. A few moments later, they were all brought back to the peloton
With only 8 kilometres to go, Team Milram was still at the front, keeping the pace really high. Eisel and Goss were not able to stay in front so Greipel was on his own for the last kilometres
With a short attack with 4 kilometres to go, Cancellara got a small gap to the sprinters but his speed didn´t look like he can win this race
A few metres behind, Greipel was able to get the wheel of Boasson Hagen which seemed to be the best solution for the moment. Behind them came the Milram train with Ciolek
Boasson Hagen wasn´t really fast so Greipel made his final move quickly, when Cancellara was caught. On the left came Ciolek with Pozzato but Ciolek looked really strong while Greipel hadn´t a lot of his power left. This is going to be a close finish
With only 500 metres to go, Greipel could stay in front but Ciolek was very fast on the right. Hopefully the finish line isn´t far away
It was a close sprint finish in the end but Greipel was able to stay in front of Ciolek and Pozzato which made us quite happy. The sponsor is also happy about that result as they only want a Top 5 placement. Well done Andre! I think after that victory, everyone knows, who is the favourite for the sprinter´s jersey at La Vuelta!

That`s Greipel. A perfect sprint by Greipel. Even without a train. So good conditions for the Vuelta. |
