Because Lampre had the "brilliant" idea of making Cunego the second highest paid rider in the world when it was obvious he was overrated.
In the past few years, their best riders have all left except for Ballan for the simple reason that the team can't afford them due to Cunego's huge wage.
I made fun of them at the time because of it, and I'll continue to do so. Pathetic management.
For reference, Cunego's salary could almost pay for two Boonens. |

Gomez Marchante to Cervelo
Now the less important ones:
Francisco Pacheco to Murica
Bruno Pires to Barbot
Constantino Zaballa to Paredes
Santi Perez and Danail Petrov to Madeinox Boavista

That's a discussion that comes up a lot. If you search the forum you'll find quite a bit about that. He won the Giro due to an exceptional set of circumstances. He wasn't a better climber than he is now |

he was at Saunier Duval so you can't trust him and if he would participate in the Tour, Ricco would never get caught

Plenty of movement in Iberian market
good to see the talents in portuguese peloton are being "distributed" to many teams... I guess we'll have a much more competitive season in 2009 and not just LA MSS - Liberty Seguros fighting each other

It was confirmed some time ago that Walker wouldn't continue at Rabobank. Good to see him snapped up by a PT team. |

Its a pretty good move. Should provide Cervelo with a little more fire power. If Sastre is going for a TDF defense Marchante is a great helper. |
