The 2013 Tour of Britain returns to London for the final stage following its absence from last year’s edition. Hanzen is the high favored Favorite and only supreme firepower can avoid that
It may not quite possess the same stature and heritage as the Tour de France’s final stage around Paris, but the capital’s famous landmarks that line the route – the Houses of Parliament and the Cenotaph to name two – are more than a match for its French equivalent.
Spectators will have the opportunity to see the riders multiple times, as the stage comprises 10 laps around a 8.8-kilometre circuit. Technically, it is not the most challenge of courses, with overshooting the right-hand turn into the finish straight the only notable difficulty along the route.
London Stage
Today we are back in the capital of Britain and what better place to close this beautiful race with one of the most iconic cities in the world? We head into a 8,8 long route, which will be repeated into 10 laps and unlike the first 6 stages this will be a short one.
When this stage is done we will have travelled from Scotland along Wales into the West coast of Britain, which finishes in the central part of Britain. Next year the Tour will come to Britain and even though that will be in Yorkshire, some have come to get a good advantage and hopefully Hanzen has found some intel here, which will prove vital in the Tour, that he hopefully will participate in
Hanzen has showed great overview throughout this season and on the latest stage he showed that by setting everybody into a corner and was able to strike at the right time. Today the sprint will be more technical with a sharp right hand corner swing just a few hundred metres before the finishing line.
His greatest competitors today will have to form an alliance in order to tumble Sky's chances down, but their only advantage is that Hanzen has fought every day, while they have saved their energy for these two sprint stages. CCC showed great pace that splitted the pack into atoms and that pace will have to be at a new level, if the others are to succeed.

Abundi and Brookes have a big amount of helpers at their side, Hanzen only has Edmonson and Eisel with Farrar on his wheel
Hanzen is alone for a moment, this is the others chance!
And they didn't take the chance and now Hanzen got 2 "Skymates" at his side
Farrar opens! Abundi and Brookes is waiting with their attempt. Hanzen is loosing ground, can he come back from this!?
Farrar and Abundi is loosing ground slowly with great acceleration from Hanzen and Brookes
And Brookes wins 8th stage and secures a victory to remember! Hanzen 2nd and Farrar 3rd with Ulissi surprising everyone with 4th place
The favorites mentioned before is all out of their Top 20 positions and today has showed the great effort put into this race earlier haven't come out unpunished

2 Stage wins, 3 (?) podiums, 2nd GC, Points, 2nd Youth... Yep i'd say that was a good race for Adrien. Surpassses Brouwers win tally for the season. One of the best EPIC performances of the season, to add to Danmark and the Giro. Hanzen showing others how to do it. No small part thanks to some strong teamwork from Sky at times, especially Eisel who he will miss next season.
Surprised by the strength of CCC in the last couple of stages, never seen them tear apart a race like that (actually never seen a non-WT non-player team be that devastating, even on a mountain hills or cobbles). Also Bardini had good leadouts towards the end and i don't mind seeing Brookes win after that team effort.

7/8 riders dropped, apart from my escapee. Yep, that last stage went well...

My reaction when I saw De Maar in the break:
Pretty decent from Gazvoda and Jiao to stay in the first group protecting De Vries. His 7th place is quite ok, though I hoped for more. Jiao just narrowly missed out on a Top20 GC (yes, because of stupid time gaps, but I don't care.)
By the way, Gazvoda is from Slovenia

Great race for Josh in the Vaterland. Seeing as he's awful on the flat, it's quite surprising to see him able to hang on to the sprinters' teams.
Disappointing race for Dermot but there's too many hills in this race. Damn the organisers.
And don't worry, TMM, Phinney should be a good enough replacement for Eisel I would think.

Sprick seemed to be the guy sticking with Burton in the last few stages and doing well, may have to think twice about him for next season.
Shame that Hanzen couldn't take the last stage but great to see efforts by the PC teams and delivering another EPIC rider a win.
Last but notice least good job on the ToB sgdanny, you added your own ideas and certainly made the reports your own. |

Great reports Sgdanny for all of ToB, thanks. Also a great race from the team, a performance from Hanzen, the only dissapointment comong from Wiggins. We didnt achieved to win the GC, but the team overall performance, the stage wins and the podiums and the top10s have made enjoyement for our sponsors. And not the last, we achieved one of our goals |

and with that stage and GC Pyroli is finally below the average 100 mark if only they could finish within the top 50

CCC has been pleased with your performance here and we can't wait to see you in action here
Now bring Japan Cup and hopefully we can continue our Goal streak with having 3/4 Goals completed already

Thanks sutty and Ollfardh, had to come up with something to negate the bad quality of the pictures

Constructive criticism: Do skim read back over the reports before posting them. You list a group of names with 15 KM to go, but it isn't clear whether they were dropped or not from the way you presented it.
Nevertheless I really enjoyed the unique style of reporting. Maybe you can do a GT?
