Looks like Vacansoleil becomes more and more Italian and just a few Dutch are left... |

Isso has been speculating that Riis is out of money. Seems that he's right.
Alex Rasmussen is no longer negotiating with Saxo Bank due to the fact that they can't agree about the salary.
Instead, he's likely to join HTC.
Geox has also offered him a contract with a guaranteed spot on the Paris-Roubaix team. |

More likely HTC since they need to start bringing some riders instead of letting them out.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

HTC seems likely yeah, Rasmussen is a nice sprinter, with potential (imo), could be a good leadout man at the very least.

Rasmussen himself says that he prefers HTC due to the better salary and Brian Holm |

That sucks. He's slowly turning into a top sprinter and he deserves more than to be a leadout man.

well if Ciloek isn't going to HTC, there will be much more opportunity for riders like Goss and Rasmussen

Cancellara has an enormous contract. Freeing that up would mean they would have the budget room for some VERY good signings (except there aren't any left on the market except Bennati and Ciolek).
Riis said today about next year's squad that: "We might not win 2 or 3 classics next year, but now it's time for some of the younger ones to step up"
That doesn't sound like he's counting on Cancellara, does it?

Also, a rumour from the CN forum:
Unofficial transfer: Mcewen to Fly V
Reason why? He has just started following quite a few fly v riders in the past few days on twitter. Same as Cadel Evans as he started following Hincapie and Lelangue a few days before the transfer was announced.

Mcewen-> Pegasus, That's what the Sporza commentator just said...
Not a bad guess by that guy from the CN forum
you've all said it already about McEwen, but one more confirmation - McEwen himself on Twitter.

That's my interpretation too -- that Cancellara is leaving.
As you may remember, we've also talked about Monfort being a possible signing for the team -- mainly if Cancellara leaves. |

His main focus is on the cobbles, sprinting is only a secondary priority for him. And he should have a good chance to make the Gent-Wevelgem and the Roubaix team on HTC. Ofcourse granted that he rides fast in Het Volk, E3 and the likes.

Yes they had. I'm looking forward the next season too
But they 'lost' one of their best riders, if not the best, in the past few seasons.

Anyone heard any rumours about who could be joining the Fly V/Pegasus Sports squad?
I'd imagine they'd have to be after a few more big names other tham McEwen if they're really serious about PT next year.

All rumors are already here on the last pages.
But in short : McEwen, Tuft are sure. Haussler had an offer but decided to join Garmin.
I haven`t found other big names. |
