Good luck in Dauphiné, though for obvious reasons you focus might be in Tour de Suisse

Three in the top ten at Garmin Velothon Berlin is a very good result
You should be happy with Izagirre's performance at the Giro too
And good luck at the Dauphiné !
Surely I'm very happy with these results! Dauphiné will be another nice challenge but we don't expect too much concerning the GC.

Thanks! The upcoming race's TT kilometers will most probably kill any GC dreams beforehand though. Stage hunting it is!

Thanks! Surely not the strongest team in France but that's also because riders like Barbero and Guerreiro were a little too tired for competitive racing.

Critérium du Dauphiné (WT) Stage 2/8, 186.7 kms
The pace set was steady-but-not-scorching all day long. As a result the bunch that hit the last climb was still a vast one but we had only Bilbao left. The last obstacle was Côte de Miribel-les-Echelles (3km, avg 6.9%). Pello survived and chose the wheel of Sagan for the sprint. This group was reduced to 40 riders, excluding Pardo, Pinot, Poels and Kiserlovski. Keeping up had taken so much out of Pello that he did not have a real kick anymore. As he got boxed in during a messy sprint, Tirreno winner Alaphilippe dashed to his 4th stage win of the season ahead of Colbrelli. @ both: was to be expected as most riders just finished intensive training, could take a few days to get used to competitive racing again.

Critérium du Dauphiné (WT) Stage 3/8, 170.0 kms
Vermote, Edmondson and Dassonville were Tête de la Course for most of the day. Lotto-Soudal's Belgian collected enough points to move into the King of Mountain jersey. Furthermore the opening half was marked by changeable weather, showers, countless mentions of guys crashing. MartÃnez, Bilbao were among those involved. The Uruguayan did have to deal with some afterpains as Pello made his way back to the bunch. The break was caught on the last categorised climb, Col du Benas (10,6 km, avg. 4.8%). On the 7% slopes, Katusha made five riders get a gap. Quintana had Tatarinov and Puccio at his side as Frank, Pello followed. Pello and Eder ended up sitting in the 20 men strong lead group. Ewan had been dropped but Dimension Data brought the chasing group back. More than 100 riders were back in the pack when Eder attacked 10kms from the finish. After a few hard stages he seemed to feel better today. CULT didn't feel like gifting us a stage win. Plan B was building a sprint train for JoSeba. Thanks to Andronico we maintained a great position. When Pello swung off the front row, Joseba could launch from second position. Further back, Ewan was gaining ground on the right hand side. In the end, Molano would get outsprinted by Australia's pocket sprinter easily. Our Colombian's pure sprint speed simply isn't high enough yet. Pello again very visable, and Molano might not be strong enought to take the win, but not bad with a top five. Much better !!

Thanks. Molano has several steps to take but with MartÃnez dropped he did great as our lead sprinter. With Chávarri improving as well we might be able to actually make something out of the upcoming stages.

As was to be expected, all of our guys finished waaaaay down the field. In the end Pello Bilbao was our top finisher in 49th place, losing 5'37".
On a slightly positive note, Eder Chávarri succesfully tested the legs on the climb before the first intermediate point. Find those results below. 5th place on stage 3 was good but a pity that all the hard work didn't get you the win. |

Sadly hard work doesn't always pay off, however there's no way to get rewarded but keeping it up.

Stages that suit us the least should be gone now, time for Chávarri to show how good he feels.

GP du canton d'Argovie (1.HC) Kanton Aargau, 193.3 kms
A three-man breakaway group was formed on the first of 13 ascents by a French-Italian trio in Charles Casse, Marco Tecchio & Donato De Ieso. Near the top of the penultimate ascent, the three of them were caught. Ion had been chosen as leader thus Vandenborre dragged him along. When Sam quit, the pace dropped for a sec. Eriksson made use of that to attack. Ion had great legs but sat too far back to answer right away. The Swede experienced a first major triumph, succesfully defending his gap over the final lap. Half a minute later Ion would come home in 7th. 2019 GP du canton d'Argovie Race results 1 | | Lucas Eriksson | Androni Giocattoli - Sidermec | 4h53'57" | 2 | | Eduardo Sepulveda | Team Sky | + 31" | 3 | | Ben Swift | Skydive Dubai Pro Team | s.t. | 4 | | Iliya Klepikov | Roth - Skoda | s.t. | 5 | | Josh Berry | Orica - Scott | s.t. | 6 | | Valerio Conti | Astana Pro Team | s.t. | 7 | | Ion Izagirre | RuralvÃa - Seguros RGA | s.t. | 8 | | Damiano Caruso | Team Sky | s.t. | 9 | | Lilian Calmejane | AG2R La Mondiale | s.t. | 10 | | Rohan Dennis | Team Sky | s.t. |

Good to see he's still fresh after a tough Giro as he's chosen to assist Guerreiro in Suisse as well.

Thanks, he's been amazingly consistent without winning a lot. Hopefully he'll agree to stay with us next year as well.
