Either:
"Tidal waves don't beg forgiveness
Crashed and on their way
Father he enjoyed collisions; others walked away
A snowflake falls in may." (Man of the Hour, Pearl Jam)
or
The entire song - 'Guaranteed' by Eddie Vedder. Amazing and meaningful lyrics: https://www.lyricsmania.com/guaranteed...edder.html
Indosat - ANZ HQ
"This Schleck sandwich is going to cause serious indigestion for Evans" - Phil Liggett

Which is your favourite quote in a song text?
That could quite easily become it's own topic, especially if people were to explain why they like them.
I could probably fill a few pages talking about the lyrics of different songs but I'll try and keep it fairly short.
I love the lyrics from Girls Like You by The Naked And Famous . The whole song sums up far too many people I know and it sort of sums up my feelings about alot of society.
Also the Lyrics to Dust Bowl Dance by Mumford & Sons although that's more about the story that they tell then any of the individual lyrics themselves.
And the last one I'll mention and my favourite is Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People. again I'm not going to dissect the indivdual lyrics as it's more about the hidden message in the song about how incidents like school shootings are preventable if someone picks up on the warning signs about what could cause someone to go over the edge and commit such acts.

Agreed and hard to pick one. Love lyrics that capture a mood. So maybe, Simon and Garfunkel, from The Boxer:
In the clearing stands a boxer
And a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders
Of ev'ry glove that layed him down
Or cut him till he cried out
In his anger and his shame
"I am leaving, I am leaving"
But the fighter still remains |

come to think of it I really like the first verse from Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons
Spoiler Weep for yourself, my man,
You'll never be what is in your heart
Weep Little Lion Man,
You're not as brave as you were at the start
Rate yourself and rake yourself,
Take all the courage you have left
Wasted on fixing all the problems
That you made in your own head
I like the way it reflects Paranoia in general an especially the way it reflects how everyone tends to worry too much about what others think of them and about all the small problems that aren't actually problems.
And the fact it's seemingly based off a character from The Wizard Of Oz aswell is quite interesting, abit like the Coldplay songs off Mylo Xyloto referencing Peter Pan with lines like "where the lost boys meet" and "hear those crocodiles ticking, they go ticking round the world"
like I said in my previous post this kind of interests me and I probably could write alot more.
and linking back to my previous post I remember being told to write about a page on something of my choice (can't remember why though, I think it had something to do with structuring essays and getting used to word counts) and chose to write about the meaning of the lyrics of and the song Pumped up kicks and ended up covering over 3 sides of A4 without being finished.

wow those lyrics sound like they have come straight out of a poem ratehr then a song. for some reason I read them in a similar style to The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe.

Most people have a different term for every song Coldplay has ever released, and it isn't "reference". It's something more along the lines of "Blatant ripoff".

Hard one. So many deep toughts, but currently:
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
Don't get too close
It's dark inside
It's where my demons
It's where my demons hide |

There is some nice quotes posted here!
Espacially Mumford & Sons Little lion man!
I don´t know why but there is two lines in Sprintsteens Badlands that has stuck in my brain;
"Poor man want to be rich
Rich man want to be king
And a king ain´t satisfied
´til he rules everything"
"That it ain't no sin to be glad you're alive"
I also like a swedish "lovesong", try to translate it as best as I can, it doesn´t sounds as good in English as in Swedish.
Well almost the hole text is really good I think so I will put it in a spoiler tab.
Spoiler "You´re the trip I wanted to start
You´re the mystery I´ve never cleared
You´re the beginning of something new and something wonderful
for me for me for me
When the autumn comes and the times has got so fast
when everything feels routine and already done
I will gather my strenght togehter and do something big
for you for you for you
I´m high now since the day when you came
Yes, I´m high now and can not go back to sleep
And I wonder if I ever get sober again
with you with you with you
This is the end of a journey and a beginning of a new
with you with you with you"

Would have to be Bruce for me as well:
'Is a dream a lie if it don't come true or is it something worse?' - The River
So many good ones of his to choose though... |

Some more of my favorite lyrics:
Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth:
"There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong"
&
"Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
Step out of line, the men come and take you away"
Also, from The Flaming Lips - In The Morning of the Magicians:
"As the dawn began to break I had to surrender
The universe will have its way - too powerful to master
What is love and what is hate?
And why does it matter?
Is to love just a waste?
How can it matter?"

Finally found a trick to fool myself into waking up early!
Right before I go to sleep, I put my clock 2 hours in advance. So when I woke up, I thought it was almost 10 o' clock. I hurry out of my bed and go downstairs, just to remember I set my clock later yesterday and it's only 8 o' clock
In your face, me!
