A lot of transfers now are ones we already knew that just werent 'official'. Greenedge seem particularly bad at doing this.

Rabobank have withdrawn the contract offer they made Freire.

What a mess. Rabobank say they've withdrawn their offer because Freire told them he's retired.
Meanwhile biciciclismo say Freire has told them he's sure he's doing another season but probably not at Rabobank
At the same time, a paper from Freire's home region says he's already agreed everything with Rabobank for another season

Remember how Lefévère didn't have room for Cavendish because he had 30 riders under contract?
Now he's told 2 riders with contracts that they can leave.

Good pick up for sky. He's possibly the most talented guy on the market from HTC.

Why? He is the only one who can pull the peloton through the entire Tour de France, chasing down any breakaway that the team asks him to at any time. I don't think Cavendish would be able to do that.
And Tejay? Well, I think Danny has 1 more Giro Stage Win, Stage Podium, and Tour de France stage Podium than him. Same goes for Peter Velits, Albasini, Eisel, etc.
And Tony Martin was never the World U23 TT Champion or even the U23 National road champion of his own, much smaller country.

No, Der Panzerwagen is only the current TT champion of the big boys. Doesn't compare to U23 crowns from 10 years ago...
I'll let others handle the rest.

Velits has finished on the podium of a GT, won an individual stage, and has been the World RR U23 Champ.
Martin is the current elite World TT Champ.
Albasini has one individual GT win.
Eisel has won a PT classic (Gent-Wevelgem).

Cavendish maybe not, but a guy like Ramunas Navardauskas can. I guess he's über-talented.

Tejay is still young, and still has twice as many CQ points as Danny. All the other riders have shown like A LOT more than Pate. A LOT.

Tony Martin is the current Elite ITT World Champion, and Paris-Nice winner. That alone already beats Pate's palmares, by far. And Germany isn't really a 'smaller' nation cycling-wise than the USA.
I don't know if you're just kidding so, if you're, nevermind all the above.

And Tony Martin got a Tour stage win, don't forget that
You can't win here in Germany a road race championship as a TT rider as mostly he is used to pull in the escape groups in a road race for others (Greipel as he was a HTC or for Degenkolb this year)
The only way he might win a german national road race is a mountain race that will never happen here where he could go for his own
