I hate when I lose my sprinter and sprinter's helpers during the tour and one as good as sprinter in MO and etc stays in the tour to win the champs elysees. Maybe the time limit should be less tough, so we would see a big battle in Paris.
Congrats on winning the tour and the green jersey!! |

Congrats on winning the tour and the green jersey!!
You´re right! It was really sad to loose Mark Renshaw and especially Cav. Anyway that stage was strange...Contador was down and Monfort got yellow..
I´m really happy that this Tour is over now..you know for my nerves |

Well, I´ve just played San Sebastian with Albasini and Siutsou. Next one might be Tour of Pologne, Eneco Tour, Vattenfall Cyclassics and in the end of August the Vuelta |

The last race this month will be in Spain. Our team wants to race the Clasica San Sebastian while Cavendish, Renshaw and Monfort really have to recover from the Tour.
There are some hard climbs today which should be done for puncheurs like Andy Schleck, Fränk Schleck, Kolobnev, Contador, Rodriguez, Valverde or Samuel Sanchez. The peloton is really strong and I´m not sure if Albasini, our team captain in Spain, can keep it up with all these great guys.
Andy Schleck and Contador should be still very angry about the unlucky Tour de France, so they might be the biggest favourites..but you never know what is going to happen ( just take a look at the last three weeks in France)
Here´s our team-squad for San Sebastian

After the tour is over now, we may be glad about that one day classic. Our 8 riders for San Sebastian are chosen especially for this terrain. Indeed, we´re not really optimistic to get a good placement there, because the competition seems to be quite strong. Andy Schleck and his brother Fränk are present, just like Contador, Sanchez, Rodriguez and Valverde. Whether Albasini is able to reach a nice result for us, we will see...
Contador was apparent still quite angry about his Tour. We were not surprised, that he attacked on the hardest climb. No one could follow him in these moments
Wiggins and Albasini were the first, going after Alberto. But it seems a hard thing to follow him while his speed was amazing
While Albasini was brought back to the pack, Valverde and Fränk Schleck made their moves. Albasini had no chance today! The Tour were still in his legs
When the top of this climb was already achieved, Andy Schleck and Kolobnev decided to go after their rivals. On the long downhill they might have a chance to come together to a bigger group
But no one was able to go after Andy Schleck. After the downhill and the last climb of today´s race, he was the only one, making a last move. Even Contador had to let him move away
Andy could celebrate an easy win for Saxo Bank, as no one was interested to reach him on the last kilometres
Kreuziger and Andy´s brother Fränk managed to get on the podium which brought SaxoBank an amazing result! Albasini was able to get a 20th place for Columbia

Summary
The last month was just incredible, amazing and unbelievable! I´m sure you´ll more words than these..Their just a few I´m thinking about when I look back at the Tour. Maxime Monfort achieved the impossible, beating Contador and Andy Schleck. We really know that there was also a lot of luck but we couldn´t benefit from that, if Monfort had not been in that great position. We finished this month with a 20th position by Albasini in San Sebastian which was great positive. Next to the Tour de France we were able to get some great riders for the next season. It´s up to you ,if I should post the names of them I just can tell you, that all of them are really good...
Well, as I said July is over now but the season goes on and on and on. There some important Pro Tour races in August, such as Tour of Pologne, Vattenfall Cyclassics, Eneco Tour and of course the last Grand Tour in Spain.
We´re not sure about the team-squad for the Vuelta a Espana but Andre Greipel is our sprint-captain there. If Monfort will be relaxed enough to race another Grand Tour isn´t sure up to here.
So I hope you all enjoyed that last month with me..thanks to everybody who supported me and Columbia in France. I´m really happy, when it´s continuing like that..thanks a lot guys

Yes, first of all he wants to improve his shape in Pologne and then he might be able to race the Vattenfall Cyclassics |

Let´s start with the first stage race in August. It´s another Pro Tour Race and we have to start there.
So while Monfort, Cavendish and Renhaw are making holidays, we´ve sent a team-squad to Pologne. Siutsou is our captain, with Grabsch and Gretsch helping him on stage 4 and 6. The overall isn´t really important for us, because the main goal in Pologne should be the improvement of Greipel´s shape. As I told you he is our man for Spain at the end of this month. Bernhard Eisel will be his lead-out man there but this week it´s up to Grabsch and Sieberg, bringing Andre in a good position. Fischer or Dean might be the hardest contender in a possible sprint finish. So let´s see if we get at least one stage win there. Please, don´t expect too much from us after the Tour

Even if Greipels shape is still not perfect, I think he should be able to take one flat stage Good luck in Poland! |
