Yeah. I only saw the last two laps, but even then it was obvious that he was going to win.
And ive found out why Denmark's Jakob Fuglsang failed so badly; his middle name is Deimer

I didnt get to see much of it but a good Top 10 performance for Liam Killeen, shame that he crashed early on. Not that anyone could have stopped Absalon though

Killeen did well considering he has been injured for a while and crashed pretty badly. It was like Athens all over again. |

The CP3 category of disability probably holds the most interest for those who are not too familar with Paralympic cycling since it included former Tour de France stage winner Javier Ochoa, aswell as arguably the best British paralympic cyclist 38 year old Darren Kenny.
In the Individual Pursuit on the track, Kenny won the final by 20 seconds over a Korean rider by 20 seconds having already set a world record in qualifying. Ochoa had qualified in the 2nd fastest time, but was disqualified. 2 days later was the 1 kilometre TT, and Kenny took gold with a World Record time. Fellow Briton Rik Waddon was 2nd as Ochoa ended 4th, 10 seconds down on Kenny. Kenny's 3rd goal on the Track came in the Team Sprint as Britain beat China in the final, Spain were 7th.
Onto the road events, which took place at the Triathlon venue, so not the same course as in the main Olympics. Javier Ochoa won gold in the time trial, beating Kenny into 2nd by 12 seconds, but Kenny today took gold number 4, winning the road race by 2 seconds ahead of Ochoa.
Also, an interesting fact from a different track cycling discipline. Sarah Storey of Britain won the Womens Individual Pursuit in her category, with a time that would have got her 7th in the Olympics!
