That sentence has to be a first for humanity

"What do you think of my Lada?"
"it's no Fiat Panda really"

**Sigh**

If only the tour of Ireland were half as good as the tour of Britain...

By that I meant that it takes in challenging terrain unlike the TOB

Plus the TOI is a better race chucky - better scenery, better organised

yes, the fact that Cavendish just won the toughest stage of them all proves how unbelievably challenging it is Pfft

Stage 5 is more challenging than that and your comment reflects on how tough the TOB is.

Nah it's not, this will be Cavendish's last stage, today was pretty flat compared to the next two days.

wackojackohighcliffe isn't it because the British police won't allow main roads to be closed for any period of time or something like that?
Last year the riders had to be sent a different route than planned in the middle of a stage.

Don't think for a second I was defending the TOB. If you read backwards on this thread you'll quickly find my comment that both races are dull and unchallenging (or whatever the hell I said) Wink

i'm not as sure that cavendish won't win more. We all know the plan is to dominate.

And i love the tob, partly because it's my home race. But the racing is fantastic, TV highlights show that.

The TOB didn't apply in time for road closure so they had to nullify racing for 38 miles

and sorry isso - though the TOI is slightly less unchallenging and dull

that was in West Yorkshire wasn't it.

Strange stage. This year we have nightly highlights, maybe sometime we'll be able to see it live?
