I didn't say he's not a bad referee. Actually, the average level of Spanish referees is rather poor. But all the yellow cards he's shown in this game are correct...and strict. |

he made the mistake of giving a yellow card to early for a nothing tackle. after that he had to book everyone for a similar tackle. Klose was very unlucky as in england neither of those "fouls" would have resulted in a yellow card.
guess everyone who started saying Germany will win after they beat a poor australia team have calmed down again now i can seriously see them struggling to qualify now. Ghana and serbia should both beat Australia and Germany won't have an easy game against Ghana. |

Well i think the ref did fine, he was strict but he keep the game controled, and didnt make any big mistakes. About the red card Klose got, it was deserved, when you make two so unneeded fouls, then you will get a red card with a strict referee |

Then look at the WC2006 and EC2008
1st great game, 2nd game terrible and then Germany was at least in the half finals... Just wait for the 3rd game at least our keeper doesn't let in some terrible shots

Podolski had a sucking team with Cologne, even Messi would have a horrible season in Cologne as the manager is the same manager who put Dortmund at the end of the 90s in financial troubles, he puts more money into the team then Cologne has.. Buying old players like Petit or Maniche while Maniche was just good in making troubles..
Löw just trust them why shouldn't he? Both done great games and both have the potential to playing great games with a good team which plays "their" way at Cologne Podolski just scored twice in the season and as I said earlier Cologne is t h a t bad, nothing to compare with the german national team, Podolski made in 75 games for the national team 40 goals and even with that horrible season he'd done his best games at the national team

would you be happy if it was one of your players getting sent off for that? |

I wouldn't be happy with a player of my team being sent off even if he shot dead a rival, but Klose was stupid for making a clear yellow card tackle knowing he had already been shown a yellow card. |

except it wasn't a clear yellow card tackle.
if you got booked every time you slightly mistimed a tackle then no one would be on the pitch at the end of the game. it wasn't high, it didn't stop a goalscoring chance, he didn't lunge in or even catch the serbian player with any kind of force. he didn't use his elbows or any kind of excessive force. it wasn't a deliberate attempt to break up the play like pulling his shirt. it wasn't from behind and he didn't go through the player.
he mistimed a poke at the ball and tripped up the serbian player. |

Probably I am the only German, who doesn`t think that it was just the ref`s fault 
Of course he gave a yellow card for every single foul, but for both teams. Not the best thing but both teams had enough possibilities to play 3:3, so it was just bad luck today and Serbia won. Well played. See you in final |
