We have a group of eight riders at the head of the race today with an advantage of 5m 38s and they include Rasch/FDJ, Saez de Arregi/Euskaltel Euskadi, Geschke/Argos Shimano, Tiernan-Locke/Endura Racing, Jarrier/Veranda Rideau, Feillu/Saur Sojasun, Schmidt/Roubaix Lille Metropole and Ricci Bitti/Farnese Vini

Cofidis have taken control at the front of the peleton and have already clawed back a minute of the breaks lead

Despite the efforts of Tiernan-Locke at the front of the break, it may all be in vain as the peleton now has them in their sights

The front group is beginning to fall apart as riders start attacking each other for the final points in the Mountains Classification

As we reach the ten kilometre to go banner its the Team Type 1 train that once again is leading

Our train is in full flow trying to deliver Jure Kocjan to the line to get the time bonus which may give him the Overall race victory

Noooo.....As the sprint for the lines starts Kocjan finds himself blocked in by the barriers

Well what can i say. If Only, If Jure didn't get blocked in on the run in, those time bonuses could have made the Overall outcome very different for us
Still a fourth place on the GC is better than we anticipated from this race so we go away very happy with our performance

Rapha Condor Sharp have been very active in the opening five kilometres here today in Durham

Six riders have formed the first major attack of the day and have opened up a gap of just over a minute, Haga/Team Optum, Mancuso/Androni Giocattoli, Rodriguez/Colombia, Windor/Endura Racing, Barras/Metaltek Scott and our very own Alexander Efimkin

Bosisio/Utensilnord Named and Schar/BMC Racing have come across to the lead group but in doing so have made the pack wake up and they have closed the gap to just forty five seconds

The eight riders are still battling on as they refuse to be caught

They are still holding the pack at about forty seconds as they enter the final twenty kilometres of the race

The breakaway has finally been pegged back as Christian Knees of Team Sky comes to the front ready for the finale

Ignatiev of Katusha has hit the front and is forcing a high pace to try and break up the pack

Machado of Radioshack Nissan has opened up a small advantage as he passes under the one kilometre to go banner

And he has timed his move to perfection as he has time to raise his arms as myself and Knees of Team Sky finish off the podium here on a wet day in Durham
