THE RACE

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-100KM.jpg

With a lead of now 3m 38s, six riders have finally managed to snap the elastic from the peleton. They are Bibby/Endura Racing, Cauquil/La Pomme Marseille, Malacarne/Bretagne Schuller, De Negri/Farnese Vini, Geniez/Argos Shimano and Denifl/Vacansoleil

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/040-CIRCUIT%20DE%20LORRAINE%20ST1-ST5/040-4-PIC1_zpsf8ebd07e.jpg

MOUNTAIN - Bibby/Endura Racing

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-80KM.jpg

The break is still pounding out a steady rhythm and have increased their advantage to 5m 35s

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/040-CIRCUIT%20DE%20LORRAINE%20ST1-ST5/040-4-PIC3_zps03b82945.jpg

MOUNTAIN - Geniez/Argos Shimano

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-60KM.jpg

Cauquil/La Pomme Marseille has lost contact with the front group and is in no man's land

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/040-CIRCUIT%20DE%20LORRAINE%20ST1-ST5/040-4-PIC6_zps259df1ac.jpg

SPRINT - Geniez/Argos Shimano

MOUNTAIN - Denifl/Vacansoleil

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-40KM.jpg

Europcar have come to the front of the peleton to try and reduce the size of the gap which is currently 1m 23s

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/040-CIRCUIT%20DE%20LORRAINE%20ST1-ST5/040-4-PIC9_zpscba84848.jpg

SPRINT - Denifl/Vacansoleil

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-20KM.jpg

With all of the breakaway now safely back in the peleton its time for the sprinters teams to come to the fore and set their men up for an exciting finish

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/040-CIRCUIT%20DE%20LORRAINE%20ST1-ST5/040-4-PIC11_zpsae298527.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-10KM.jpg

Bertogliati/Team Type 1 is setting such a pace at the front of our train that he has caused a split in the peleton and this could be a great move for Jure Kocjan who could reclaim the leaders jersey as his rivals are back in the pack

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/040-CIRCUIT%20DE%20LORRAINE%20ST1-ST5/040-4-PIC12_zps31d8fa49.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-5KM.jpg

Unfortunately Cofidis had other plans and have brought the rest up to our train

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/040-CIRCUIT%20DE%20LORRAINE%20ST1-ST5/040-4-PIC13_zps7fbdd0d3.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/TOGO-1KM.jpg

Delage/FDJ has caught everyone by surprise and gone off the front

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/040-CIRCUIT%20DE%20LORRAINE%20ST1-ST5/040-4-PIC14_zpsbb3b7ef9.jpg

i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc489/sutty68/STORY%20SYMBOLS/checkeredflag1.gif

But its the Cofidis rider Petit who wins the dash for the line and Serebyakov has to settle for second place today

Well what can i say. If Only, If Jure didn't get blocked in on the run in, those time bonuses could have made the Overall outcome very different for us
Still a fourth place on the GC is better than we anticipated from this race so we go away very happy with our performance

Ian Butler
4th isn't bad. All blocking aside, the team showed its strength here, that's good Wink

PCM rulezz
4th in GC isn't bad at all, the team can build on this result Wink
Winners never quit, quitters never win.

It's difficult not to be happy when you're surrounded by Belgians. - Mark Cavendish
