Nice sprint by Swift. A few more meters and I think Vigano would have caught him, though. Pfft

Kinda irrelevant. The finish line is all that matters, if you have energy/speed to spare at the end, and havent won, then youve done a bad sprint

Any sign of a better video? That one has the early build up then suddenly cuts to the closing metres, bit annoying

If the guy has half of his father's talent, he's indeed going to be great.

Rick seems to be more versatile and less of a sprinter though. He wins a lot of races solo.

He also as beaten some of the best sprinters in some races but you´re right, he´s also a great allrounder.

He's a fast home-made tribute to Cadel Evans: https://www.youtub...nPoajAu9A.
His next race will be Dauphine.

I'm being pedantic, but it wasn't the Mont Ventoux. It was the Mont Serein. Very different Pfft

Nice video though

Yeah, but is the same mountain, only different versant. Ventoux name is better known than Serein.

ruben
Ah yes Serein, where he wheelsucked a 21-year old Gesink to the last 150m... that was indeed a fantastic achievement to be proud of...

lup_andrei
Ha...you're a tough guy. He 'wheelsucked' because he had popovych at the back competing for the GC remember? He was hell away at the GC and had no intend to help Gesink.

kumazan
Don't be so hard on Cuddles ruben. That was before he discovered that attacking could, magically, make him win. Pfft

While true that whatever Evans tactics were, or the reasons for them, it ultimately doesnt matter as it worked out for Evans and he got the win - the fact that he did 'wheelsuck' Gesink did make it a less impressive victory, which is what I think Ruben's point is. (Aside from the fact that Ruben may still be bitter about it, who knows Pfft)

I do find it funny that in the paper after the first stage of the Tour of Romandie, there was an article about Evans and his preperations for the tour. It said that he had no intentions of winning the race, only participating in it to get a bit more fitness up his sleeve. I think he was lying.

Seems to be his new tactic. He said the same before Tirreno Adriatico and then he got the leader jersey. Wink

Most likely, Maybe it's that the races he goes in he doesn't think he'll be considered a threat if he says he isn't going for it.
