Finally we see Kessiakoff doing some good work for Nibali... Hopefully he is starting to ride himself into shape. |

Pirazzi needs to be much cooler if he wants to win the blue jersey. He keeps attacking far too early.
I hope you're not complaining about this, great battles we've seen from him already
Wont really change much if he attacks a few hundred metres closer to the climb's summits, I should think.
I find it unlikely that they'll bring Gretsch back. Awful cooperation in the chasing group.

I'm not so sure. The battles where our Russian friend won the stage where amazing to watch and spread over several kilometers. Much better than a 100 m sprint, if you ask me |

Navardauskas is amazing on flat sections like this. Insane how quickly he and Oss closed Gretsch's gap.
Still, I think the stage winner is sitting in the 2nd group.

Garmin say Hesjedal may retire from the race.
Why? What does he possibly need a rest for?
Tour? Vuelta? Basically any other big race he could actually do well in?
Would be the best solution, imo. No point in suffering through the Giro if he's ill and out of contention. Better to recover and focus on something else.
I think he should focus on the Vuelta. Jv I think really wants to give Dan Martin a chance and he deserves it. Plus Purito, Valv and others are focusing on the tour this year so it might be a better chance than ever to win. Only conflict is the Canadian pt races.
