What's important about Impey?
Nobody would have cared for his win last year if it wasn't for the final stage where Bos fucked up.
It was the biggest South African result since Hunter won the stage in the tour. So I cared quite a lot, even if you didn't.

Castilla y Léon stage 3. Major mountain finish.
Antón and Soler are back from the comatose, if not from the dead
Cool stage with attacks from Mosquera, Contador, Antón and Soler who missed the move and showed strength by bridging up later (while Machado who originally went with Contador blew up and fell backwards), and then attacking a few times.
(well, it's to be expected that he's in the best form of all of them. He's peaking for the Giro, after all)
After a ton of attacks by everyone, Antón dropped everyone to solo to the finish and take yellow.
Contador should take the lead in the TT tomorrow, though.
Brajkovic, Bernabéu, Menchov, Machado and someone else in the group behind
1. Antón
2. Soler +12''
3. Contador +12''
4. Mosquera +12''
Menchov/Bernabéu/Brajkovic/Machado (sometime behind)

Greipel won stage 6 in turkey too. Kern and Willmann were caught with under 1 km left.

I don't think Soler is really back from the dead. Obviously the crashes ruled out his '08 Tour, which because that is what he was building up to for that entire season ruined that year for him. As for last year, Hunter said that Barloworld was a mess (as the team wasn't going to exist until the last moment), and that might have hurt him last season.
I just think he hasn't had a year where he can really focus like he did in '07. |

But if I were you I'd wait until cyclingtorrents has the full race. Almost certainly at some point tomorrow.

He fell over and injured himself at the beginning of every race, causing him to struggle to be seen.

Actually he took 2nd at Settimana Lombardia and took a couple of top 10's on Giro stages but after his 07 season that is nothing. |

Although his Giro results were with a broken wrist after he fell and injured himself, before getting bullied by Cav and Columbia

Not what Caisse announced at the start of the season. But it's only natural if the injury changed plans around
