Into Celsius : 45 °F = (45-32)/1,8 = 7 °C
Yes that's the right formula... |

Well, normally almost all countries (all developed ones at least) should be using the metric system. But many countries still use miles, yards, pounds and such things instead... It was painful when I was learning physics. |

yeah you shouldn't have to learn that in Physics, all in metric and only metric.

Many things about tubes (tubes for industrial cold, freezers, or merely heating and plumbing) are still counted in inches too.
I think there are a couple more, I don't have them in mind at the moment though.
There's also the imperial system for (tyres, etc.) pressures, PSi is not metric for example, it's normally Pascals, hectoPascals. Bars are sitting on a fence here, since 1 bar is about 10 000 Pascals, so it's a convenient unit.

Hey you don't know what cold temperature is before you take a cross country trip in -25 (I done that when I was 10, just so you know that I'm a man) |

I am advising all State officials around Yellowstone National Park for a potential State of Emergency. In the last week over 252 earthquakes have been observed by the USGS. We have a 3D view on the movement of magma rising underground. We have all of the pre warning signs of a major eruption from a super volcano. - I want everyone to leave Yellowstone National Park and for 200 miles around the volcano caldera.
