Yeah probably but hopefully someone will challenge. They won't get that much rope either as Di Luca and Petrov are "just" 13 minutes back.
Astana should let breakaway go and let someone else take lead. We all know Nibali and Evans can drop Petrov or Di Luca in mountains later on. But they don't have strength to control race for 2 weeks now. |

In the same way "we all knew" Arroyo could be dropped in the mountains in 2010? |

Di Luca is not a rider I would give those 13 minutes to.

It has happened. Like Oscar Pereiro getting 30min on Floyd Landis in 2006 TdF and then not letting go, untill Landis got naughty .
Its a risk they will have to take and calculate their strength. |

I'd say they have a decent team it's a risk they don't have to take. Indeed they have now pegged the gap at around 4 minutes on the early part of the climb. |

Did he mishear the gap was 50 seconds rather than 5 minutes..."I still can't see them..." :/ |

Don't be silly, the French don't do drugs!
But seriously after he won the stage at the Tour of California last year I sort of had it in the back of my head that I wouldn't be surprised if he was on something, as he sort of came out of nowhere a few years ago. So I'm not overly surprised.
EDIT: Of course he may well have been clean then and obviously I have no evidence that he was doped last year or the year before.

You'd think they might learn from how riders are getting caught and punished, maybe its sort of thing that one cannot control like Contador or Frank Schleck. |

Well, that KoM just came 2,5km earlier than what the stage profile said...

Pirazzi needs to be much cooler if he wants to win the blue jersey. He keeps attacking far too early.
I'm picking Martens for the stage win.

Yeah, at least the riders knew I was thinking that was a long range attempt. |

Gretsch on his way to "a Belkov"?
He built up an excellent gap in the descent.

If Pirazzi doesnt win and he shouldn't, I am back in the betting game to the very generous for today's stage odds on other rider
Will be intresting if Gretsch can keep this up.

I hope you're not complaining about this, great battles we've seen from him already |

I very much doubt it. Down to 80 seconds.
