So Europcar wants to mantain Voeckler, a guy who looks to be already declining (altough it may be the miss of corticoids) and Rolland instead of Turgot and Gaudin? Lol. |

The French public love Voeckler so keeping him around males sense whole Rolland is still a really promising rider. I imagine that Gaudin and Turgot were perhaps also attracted away by the promise of being in the WT.
I seem to remember Bernaudeau also saying at some point that he wants to ensure that Coquard gets all of the training that he needs and because that is so expensive he wouldn't be able to keep all of his talented riders. I'm guessing this is part of that.

Makes perfect sense from sponsor persepctive.
Voeckler plus Rolland can give Europcar way more exposure at the Tour with a single stage win, than Turgot and Gaudin ever could.

Lars van der Haar will join Argos Shimano. So far Argos is doing my and Cio's Man-Game policy of signing up just talents
Alongisde him, Haga, Craddock and Olivier have joined Argos for upcoming season.
Mertens extends with Belkin for 2 more years.
Yep, Sprinters, Talents and no climber. Sounds like Puma
Gave us promotion and a decent chance of avoiding relegation now after all

AG2R becoming stronger and stronger! Betancur, Gadret, Peraud, Pozzovivo, Turgot... a very nice line up. |

I was thinking the same. Now they only need a less ugly jersey to be a perfect team! |

Gadret is leaving, and he's been very average. You forgot to mention though their brighest talent along Betancur, in Romain Bardet. Taking fantastic progress and a tremendous season for him.

Ah bummer, I checked Cyclingfever to see if anyone was leaving but I guess it isn't fully accurate
Bardet turned out to be a very good rider in my PCM carreer but I had no clue on him in real life, thanks for the update. |

Think of marketing potential, and how much a sponsor might be willing to pay for a rider.
Voeckler is somebody every French person knows (okay, I'm exaggerating). It might not be a great investment sports-wise, but from a marketing viewpoint, he's probably worth even more than he earns.
Turgot was suspended "Ã la Rolland" last year (cortisol problem), IIRC. So, depending on what the corticoids policy is at Europcar (either they provide the stuff, either they're pissed but close their eyes), it might make sense to let him go. Of all French teams, it has to be AG2R who sign him, sometimes you've to wonder...
Rolland is more famous than Turgot and Gaudin together, so as for Voeckler, it makes sense from a marketing viewpoint. Plus he's a couple of years younger than Turgot.

I liked the blue and yellow, and slightly white one from circa 2003-2004.
Why on Earth did they have to change to something ugly and barely noticeable from a distance ?

I don't think so. Offredo did that, and was suspended one year.
Tugot was suspended a week or two. I'm pretty sure it was cortisol related.

It dates from 7th of May this year, though. Nothing came of it? |

Damien Gaudin joins AG2R in a 3 year deal. AG2R doing some amazing bits of transfers here, Gaudin is a monster of a rider for Robuaix.

Turgot AND Gaudin? Oh lord, that's going to be one hell of a team for 2014. Can't wait! |
