Pate will probably keep riding, but him and Cozza will come back to the US, i.e. Kelly Benefit, Jamis-Sutter Home, UHC-Maxxis, Bissell, possibly Kenda or Jelly Belly (Pate started at Jelly Belly, and former Garmin man Mike Friedman rides there). |

Hunter maybe to Sky (If he has the confidence in the team)
Confidence in the team to do what?
Besides, it doesnt work like that. Hunter cant approach Sky and say "Im confident in your team" and so is signed.
Id be surprised if Sky signed Hunter, they wont be making many new signings - and I dont see Hunter bringing any benefit to the team at all.
Any clean water in the Cavendish --> Sky rumor? Or is his contract not up?
I get confused about the whole contract stuff. Since Arvesen got an offer from Team Luxenbourg as Rider/Sport Director.

One of the world's most promising youngsters, polish rider Michal Kwiatkowski, after a decent season with Movistar's feeder team Caja Rural, had everything set with Movistar.
Until Telefonica demanded Movistarsign a mexican, an argentinian and a brazillian.
At which point Movistar no longer has any room for any more riders.
So, Radioshack jumped in and signed Kwiatkowski. Shame.

Well, they have 21 riders with contracts. 5 current riders without - and we now know Downing will be offered a contract from those 5.
So yeh, they wont be signing too many new riders imo.

I don't see BMC going for him.
Katusha though, that seems the most likely (if they have the roster space, seems like they've signed fifteen riders already). |

You don't see a Swiss team, which in public has expressed its interest in Cancellara, going for him? |

Nope.
I don't think BMC is nearly as deep financially as it seems. Would they love to have him, yes, will it happen, I think not. |

The teams have to let the UCI in on their finances and bank guarantees. At the start of the season the UCI releases information back to the teams, that includes the budgets of all of them.
Several team managers have commented that the budgets of BMC, Katusha and Sky are ridiculously obscene.

I guess it's a few too many (by which I mean two) years of seeing BMC as a decent team on the domestic US circuit that makes me doubt they have the true clout. Besides, money on paper doesn't always come out to be as readily available as it seems (British football anyone).
Do I think conversations will, happen, will they talk to Riis and try? yes, but again, I just cannot see it happening.

Yes, Riis will let Cancellara go for 3 million.
And I think he will sign for BMC. I think BMC will get enough money, they would love to see Fabian Cancellara, the best (Swiss) cyclist in the world, ride on Swiss bikes
R.I.P Wouter Weylandt (1984 - 2011)
Pain is a big fat creature riding on your back. The farther you pedal, the heavier he feels. The harder you push, the tighter he squeezes your chest. The steeper the climb, the deeper he digs his jagged, sharp claws into your muscles.- Scott Martin

Kim Andersen says he wants the strongest team in the world. In this moment his transfers not are enough for this goal. And my opinion is that the best team in the world must have the best rider(Cancellara).

I wouldn't consider Team Schleck as the best team in the world. |
