https://www.oakley.com/custom/jawbone
I'm looking at a pair of Jawbones for next year. I will probably get them customized. At the moment I am leaning towards Purple jaws, Purple Logo, White Frame, bolt and Earsocks. Also instead of purple there is green and white, which I think is also good looking.

So, my holiday for next year is planned already; we're going to Annecy like we did last year when the TdF TT was held there. Then we found out it's a great cycling area, mainly for us because it's in the Alps. It'll be the first time for me to actually be climbing mountains. It's still a long way untill the summer, but I can't wait already
For a training we're planning on going to south Limburg (AGR area) for a week(end?) to get at least some climbing training kilometers
Nice would be to climb L'Alpe d Huez, but since that's a little too far from Annecy, we chose La Plagne as our goal. Mainly because Boogerd won his Tour stage there after a full day in the break.
20km at 7% is going to be tough for sure, and I haven't really got an idea what to expect from it. But try is the least I'll do
Around Annecy there's quite a few smaller training climbs which we'll be doing first, and of course as soon as next season starts, training hard when we're still at home

ordered my new bike. Boardman Team Carbon Limited Edition. got 10/10 in the C+ test and seems brilliant, especially for just £900

sorry that's the only pic i could find.
it comes with ritchey's(the pro rims i think) but i've got a brilliant pair of custom harry rowlands wheels (he uses ambrosio rims). I think most of the finishing kit is ritchey and it's got sram rival chainset. Seen as it's for racing I'm trying to buy a bigger inner ring to fit.

Ritchey's low-end stuff (and most of their high-end stuff) is shitty as hell, it doesn't matter much for the cockpit components but I'd stay away from their wheels. The Sram stuff is great (I'm currently running Rival), and unless your going to be riding cobbles regularly I wouldn't worry about the chainrings. Regardless of whether you have a 52-38 or a 50-34, a properly adjusted front derallieur is the only important bit.
Sounds like a great purchase for only 900 pounds. I'm always a little wary when the purchase price of a bike is significantly cheaper than the cost of all the part put together (it should obviously be cheaper, but not by that much, see:Neuvation). On those custom wheels, what hubs do you have? |

I got a £100 discount which I was quite happy with and I was just worried about the drop between the 50 and the 34 when I'm racing on the hilly courses.
The hubs on the wheels are ambrosio and i just think they were the best thing I ever bought. Only £150 and they run faster than my dads Mavic Ksyriums which were nigh on £300

Don't be, thats a standard compact crankset. I'm not sure any of the pro's worry about that drop when they are in the mountains |

I rode today with Steve Cozza, Brent Bookwalter, Jackson Stewart, Lev's Wife and a few other pros from bissell an Amore Vita. It was a good day till my brother ate shit at 35 miles an hour. He broke his arm and Pelvis.

Sorry to hear about your brother Levi. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
I finally managed to get back out for a 3 hour ride on saturday. On a single speed that doesn't like me being painless by the end of the ride. My back is ruined, my legs are ruined, my arms are ruined... so, time to repeat!

As I've started to get back on the trainer recently, I'm beginning to remember how much it sucks. I've got a tv to watch shit on, but time still moves really slowly and I can only do around 30-60 minutes before I have to stop not because of fatigue but because of boredom. Anyone got any recommendations for how to make it more enjoyable (beyond spending a grand on a computrainer)? |

ride outside
I took this during my ride today. What are the conditions for everybody else like. Usually in the mornings it is arm warmers leg warmers and maybe a vest if it is chilly. Today I rode around noon so I only had an under shirt on other than the shorts and jersey.
