Yes... it's all very LEGAL and LEGIT and PERFECTLY ALLOWED and PERFECTLY OK
I hadn't anything against a three way deal but this is actually quiet strange. Why - on earth - would Paul accept such a deal?
It's like me giving Quintana, Costa and Valverde to Garmin for 10000. That would be legal, too, but it would destroy the game for some rival teams...
Sorry but I now understand ollfardhs complaints.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

I don't see why.
Paul always said he wanted to get rid of Chavanel. We were talking about swapping Pinot for Chavanel for a while.
Then along comes Giant buying up some GC riders. Giant want a GT rider (Pinot). I want to sell Pinot and get Chavanel. OPQS want a rider of Giants.
So we agree between us to all get what we want instead of competeing against each other. Simple Game Theory stuff really that breaks zero rules or spirit. Otherwise if we are stopping deals to protect teams then we will have to go back and look at various other deals that are obviously one-sided. At least our threeway is balanced because we all get what we wanted out of it.

It's really not as complicated as it seems. But without just naming the riders it's hard to explain clearly.
Team A wants Rider 1 from Team B
Team B wants Rider 2 from Team C
Team C wants Rider 3 from Team A
Team B sells Rider 1 to Team A. Team C sells Rider 2 to Team B. Team A sells Rider 3 to Team C. F*cking simple

Guys, it's underinvestigation, so let's wait for that result
Although I'm not to happy with you guys pushing it through despite knowing that it was being investigated.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I don't care about the threeway dealing, that seems like good logic and nice to see people trying to help each other out. I'm talking about Paul letting Chavanel go for the price of a good haircut. Is he on drugs or does he want to ruin the game?

Again Stybar and Velits left for Dennis. I'd say that is equally nuts yet that deal isn't questioned at all.

Another issue I see is the idea of gifting riders or money, which in my opinion should not be allowed. It also comes off as rather ironic coming from Manx, who banned similar deals in his own story games. |

Trust me, it was questioned. And laughed at for many hours.

I agree with The Hobbit that gifting money to a team shouldn't be allowed

You mean the 62.5k gift from Giant?
That's 62.5k for Pinot to move to them. I just split it up to make sure i wasn't making a mistake in the process as i had to re-sign Pinot as well. It can always be easily altered to read
Team 1: Giant-Shimano
Riders: None
Money: 62,500 (12,100 to re-sign Pinot. 50,000 to FDJ)
Team 2: FDJ
Riders: Thibaut Pinot
And then followed by the RESIGN: Pinot afterwards.

As far as I am concerned that deal would not be allowed. You cannot sell a rider while they are not on your team, and you cannot resign him without the money. The only way this would work is if he gave you the money to resign him, then you sold Pinot to him, which should not be allowed. |

Which is why i split it up as i did. Nacho "gifts" me the money to resign Pinot and i then "gift" him Pinot once he's available for sale. It happened with Cavendish already who was also WAIT listed

My issue is that "gifting" should not be allowed as all it does is act as a work around so you can cheat the WAIT list rules. I believe I might have saw it with Cavendish, but it has onky really been brought to my attention now, so if that is the case they should both be disallowed. |

But then that is something that should have been made a lot clearer during renewals.
However i asked if you could sell a WAIT rider and Ollfardh then replied with a method through which that could be done. Both the Cavendish and Pinot sale followed Ollfardhs example which, as far as i'm concerened, makes them perfectly legal sales
EDIT: Ollfardh wrote:

If i WAIT on a rider can i sell that rider?
Not until you re-signed him. But you're allowed to do it in a transaction with the buyer, so he pays 50000 of which 24000 will go to renewing and 26000 to you. If not renewed, he will become a Free Agent and people can start bidding.

So for clarification, to un-wait a rider someone has to give me money, basically for free. I then un-wait the rider. Then i give them the rider?
Either you just gather the budget and get him of the wait list, or if you want to do it with a deal, post you want to take him off the list in the deal, so I know where the money is going
