That's even worse than Rabobank in Paris Nice 09. Lol.
They were going for time not stage win

But why not try for the win with that good of a percentage of winning (before you take in the fact that they're Cofidis riders).
Edit: You can generally go for both time and stage can't you?

And they had by far the 3 slowest guys in the group. And begining to make attacks would might have cause the group to slow down and them not getting the leaders jersy.

It also enabled Taaramae to at least get the time bonus for 3rd, which was vital considering how small a race lead he has now

Vuelta a Castilla y Léon starts today. An easy win for Contador, no doubt.
More importantly, Brajkovic actually gets to lead Radioshack at a race. Wow. That's......unusual.
Stages 1, 2 and 5 are flat. Friday the mountain stage ending with the really cool Alto del Morredero (2006 Vuelta. Valverde vs. Vinokourov) and Saturday the TT.

I would say stage 5 is hilly rather than flat, also finishes uphill. |

Omega-Pharma is too silly to get a win this season...
Gilbert was the strongest rider but the team didn´t started the chase early enough

It was the daily breakaway, they were pretty much at around 3 minutes from 80km to about 10kms left then it bounced up to 4:30. |

WTF Machado getting into the sprint and getting 6th?
Is this about February?
Back at the Volta ao Algarve at the end of the mountain stage he said something like "These 'smart' people who are 1,90m and 100kg want to get involved in the climbs and bump us skinny guys out of the way and almost off our bikes.
Maybe I'll get into the sprint and bump them around too, see how they like it"

Don't get too excited, there are no sprinters here bar Bos and Brown.
If you want to count Urtasun and the ever awesome Lastras (4th) as sprinters, go ahead. |

Excited about what? It's simply funny and strange.
And yes, Urtasún is a sprinter.

Not exactly. I haven`t watched it, so i can`t say what happend but Greipel leads the big group with about 4.30 and Taramae was still 50sec later, so he must fall out of the peloton (30 riders maybe) |

And yes, Urtasún is a sprinter. A mediocre one though.
Bos sprinted Brown at 2 bike lengths, Urtasun was another bike length behind. Meh.
I wish they'd field Bos in some more prestigious races. He learns more from a failed sprint in Scheldeprijs, than an easy sprint here. |
