Enough said, right?

EDIT: in fact, I just went through the list of Paris-Roubaix U23 winners of the past to see how many went on to become reasonable cobbles riders. Not even "good". just "reasonable".

The answer is none. Ever. Pfft

As far as I'm aware he never won Paris-Roubaix Espoirs.

He did, in 1998. So did Moncassin in 1989, and later he came 2nd in Vlaanderen and won Kuurne, but I don't really know his real strength on the cobbles.

Actually, he's much much slower than Frank. He's possibly the worst sprinter around.

On the downhill to the finish, there was a section where the road was so tremendously narrow that only one person could get through at a time safely (it was a descent).

So, Andy Schleck went to the front of the group (of 12 people who had attacked on the climb ) and Breschel was on his wheel.

Breschel slowed down and almost stopped, while Schleck gave it full gas.

The road was so narrow that no one could get around Breschel.

When they finally managed to get around Breschel, they chased. And they just barely didn't catch Schleck. He hung on to win by half a bike or something.

Or at least this is the story that's being told in forums. I didn't see the stage.

a one bike wide road? within the last km? that doesn't sound right.

No people, read what I write.

Not a "one bike wide road". A road that was very narrow where only one rider could safely navigate given that it was a technical descent.

Not last km.
The group attacked about 15kms from the finish. That "episode" was supposedly still 10 kms from the finish, where Schleck was caught at the finish line.

Again, that's what's going around, I'm in no way giving it credit. I simply said that's what's being said. But if you two can't be bothered to read what I wrote without assuming I'm saying things that aren't written, then maybe I shouldn't bother posting.

I was only speaking about the finish.

I understand you don't give credit to what guys said on your forum.
I was just simply explaining that the roads weren't narrow, AT LEAST in the final km (see picture).

The road was so narrow that no one could get around Breschel.

This is wrong

And when those dudes say Schleck won with half a bike, that's wrong. Look at the picture, and the video, and you'll see that Schleck wasn't that bad in THIS sprint.

Relax, life's cool Pfft
