Hunter for green would be fantastic, mind you anyone for green except Boonen would be my dream
no seriously great win, and i'm delighted for Barloworld they have deserved that win

Zabriskie is out of the Tour!
He has still not reached the finish line, meaning that he will finish outside the time limit. |

i don't get why everyone hates boonen. he's the best sprinter in the tour so he deserves to win the green jersey. and i hope vino recovers so can win a stage or something. |

i don't think everyone hates him. I do but that is purely because in my opinion he is the most overrated rider in the whole of cycling. (other opinions do differ though)

Great win for Hunter, disappointing for Dean and the others who crashed though.
So, who will get the Lanterne Rouge, Wim Vansevenant, Geraint Thomas, Nick Nuyens or someone else?

The Z man is suffering from Microtendinitis as a result of changing a bit of his equipment.
Great win for Hunter. He is my favorite for green. Though i wanted Hunter to do well i wanted Fast Freddy to win. To bad he crashed |

most likely Vansevenant like every year. the others don't have to bury themselves working for a teammate |

Yes it is very dangerous..when to leave sord of 90 turns in last 3 km. and even more dangerous in TdF and hugh peloton When climbers work with stage map...same go with sprinters. I remember Kirsipuu in TdF when he work for Hushovd after Hushovd crash,he explained how they talk thru last 5 km. in such a stupid corner like this one ,that they should be front. |

Robbie Hunter was insturmental in Floyds win last year. South Africans are underdogs so I confess I do want a non-american to do well.
Im going to call it now. TdF 2008: Green: Farrar. Polka Dots: Raisin. White: Cozza. Yellow: Landis |

And Hunter is just 11 points behind Boonen in the sprint classification.
2nd in Green, 2nd in KOM,2nd for white jersey too plus two riders in the top 25 in the GC I think. They're getting heaps of publicity as a result and to think they only found out they were going on the 30th of may. I can't help wondering what might happen to the team when transfers kick in later in the year.
For a flat stage I found it refreshingly exciting, so many mini battles going on and Barloworld in the middle of the action..
Thoroughly deserved win for Hunter and the team.
Team Barlowold worked very hard from early on with Sioutsou's early break away to the pace they were instrumental in setting of the lead peloton. Nice to see Robbie supported by his mountain goat team mates in a sprint stage and the lead peloton cooperated very well to put serious distance between the peloton behind.
The Peloton that Zabel was in just couldn't keep up. I'm glad of that, he'd been the cause of one or two accidents and admitted to taking performance enhancing drugs while competing.
Definately some luck going Robbies way though with Robbie being glued to Boonen's wheel pretty much right up to the final km,where Boonen had to virtually stop due to accident when the sprinters were ramping up to bring it home. It'd be great to see Robbie wearing the green. Quickstep will be working to make sure he doesn't take it from Boonen though.
Next stage looks interesting, a few minor cat four climbs then downhill through the intermediate sprints just before the feed zone and then what appears to be a fairly long cat 2 climb. |

Yes they need that aswell, but saying that euskatel has only basque riders but the TDF wouldnt be the same without them, the point is that bouyges can stay french based and pick only french talents, but work with the youth system to get good riders, look at FDJ they have a few young riders coming through and so does cofidis.
